Xavier’s Sunken Glow: Lore Talk✨ I haven't really seen anyone mention this yet and I feel like everyone needs to know because the attention to detail is actually insane🥹 Basically, the rooftop garden in the card isn't just a random garden; it actually resembles The Hanging Gardens of Babylon. In history, those gardens were built by a king for his queen who was homesick... which basically confirms Nahelan is a fictionalized Ancient Babylon✨ The outfits and the ceremony in the date tie into this so well too, I saw a post on XHS that explains the historical parallels perfectly, so definitely go read the original for the full breakdown! But I’m actually crying at the fact that he preserved a garden for MC in the desert. It’s like Uluru all over again😭 Xavier always creates these "sealed-off utopias" in his heart just for the two of them. Even when he was alone, he was scouting these places thinking, "Someday I'll visit the place with her." 🥺 The devs giving Xavier these specific Babylonian symbols is just… it fits him so perfectly🙂↕️ I keep thinking back to that teaser video from the first release where it mentions humanity never abandoning the "delusion of the Tower of Babel." It’s such a core concept for him! In ancient Babylon, the Tower was a vain attempt at reaching the heavens(?) a literal "illusion" of immortality and power 👀 It’s so symbolic because Xavier’s own immortality often feels like that same tower: a beautiful but lonely illusion. Linking him to the Hanging Gardens and the Tower of Babel really hammers home that his story is built on these ancient, "impossible" dreams. He’s basically living the lore of a fallen empire while trying to build a tiny, private utopia just for us. The parallels are actually insane😣

I recreated the cafe and let MC take his place🥹 Same seat and pose. Even the same gentle pause. And I know some people don’t even want to see her face. Which is crazy to me because hello?? The XavMC relationship timeline being carried by drunk shenanigans is actually so insane to me😣 The way their first kiss was literally hidden behind a black screen too… meanwhile Xavier was out there kissing her face in a crowded room while she was all hazy and half-conscious😭 It feels so painfully soft and protective in that very him kind of way. But then the confession scene?? Oh that’s where the composed knight act finally starts cracking apart. MC being drunk and crying because he keeps slipping in and out of her life hurts SO bad because it feels so real. She was exhausted from loving someone so distant, and it took her being at her absolute most vulnerable to finally break down and tell him to stop disappearing on her like that😣 And the parallel omg, she’s intoxicated both times because loving someone like Xavier is probably too heavy to do sober. These messy, blurred moments are the only times the distance between them actually collapses. Her tears finally grounded him, making him realize that his actions have a real cost on her heart🥺
