One of the main source of revenue for Somalia's former President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud is the Miraa imported from Kenya. The taxes he levies gets him a net monthly revenue of US $ 6 million. He shares the profit with a few Somali-Kenyan brokers in Nairobi. Because of the war efforts he is engaged in Mogadishu, I'm reliably informed his current visit to Nairobi apart from seeking help from President Ruto, is to renegotiate the commissions he pays in Nairobi. This man's appetite for money has few parallels in history.

H.E Rigathi Gachagua should be ashamed of himself to threaten that he will dispose off Kenyan Asian of their property if he comes to power and in declaring that judgments of the courts are worthless. He knows Hon Arthur Magugu's widow doesn't own the property he is talking about. Every court in Kenya had thrown out the frivolous claims she filed. Hon Gachagua should declare his PERSONAL INTEREST and OBSESSION with this private property and should know that Asians just his chosen and favourite tribe have constitutional right to own property.

The Finance Bill gave Kenyans a golden opportunity to express their frustration and unhappiness with President Ruto and his goverment. But the underlying factors that fuelled the riots are too many...the main ones include corrupt political elites whose source of wealth is not known but flaunt it when Kenyans face dire financial state...holding this corrupt elite and auditing their source of wealth is very important for a genuine rebirth.
