Subaru's self harm being canonized makes this whole scene sad in retrospect. Yes, Beako was clinging to him because she was dealing with severe separation anxiety but she also did it because she’s genuinely terrified of what he’ll do to himself if she doesn't stay glued to him ☹️

Vincent mastered the scene’s pacing by tailoring each fight to the character’s style and narrative weight. Garfiel relies purely on instinct so an adrenaline fueled tempo fits. Julius however embodies the height of traditional knightly etiquette so a grounded slow fight fit him

I must admit that even though I was one of the people who were furious the novel scene was cut, but the anime’s approach low-key won me over. The cold, sudden execution without music made it even more tragic to me. No time for goodbyes, nothing... just a brutal instant end.

The saddest part about this breakdown is seeing Subaru begging God for forgiveness despite being canonically *atheist*. You know someone has reached their absolute limit and lowest when they appeal to something they don't even believe exists ☹️

One of the highest peaks in TV history ever aired and you just had to be there to fully understand the crazy impact that "The outside of madness" has caused in the anime community back then✨

She made a follow up video after her reaction and I'm sorry but she's a genuine idiot. Saying that Emilia's love for Subaru is toxic, an obsession and she brings out the worst in him as a Subarem fan is truly smtg + attributing all Satella doings to Emilia is just dumb as shit
