A couple of things first - OL gets a good jump off the snap. But Jones has instant play recognition and immediately dials in on the mobile design to the right - tracking his responsibility - the QB. Also have to acknowledge that it feels like Daniel Hill gives up on the play early - which in live action would’ve led to clean lane for Jones to hit the QB.

A quick look at new Alabama QB commit Elijah Haven via MaxPreps. A couple of things you’ll notice right off the bat - Haven is TALL and can see most, if not all, of the field. His mechanics are coming along but could use some tweaking. This will allow him to more accurately layer passes - an area has improved between his sophomore and junior season. The ceiling for the #1 QB out of the 2027 recruiting class is extremely high!!! If Alabama can put a little more weight on this kid - you’re potentially looking at a lighter version of Cam Newton back there.
