Daniel Hill’s big run was called back - another big run taken off the board for Bama for no reason… But a couple things - Will Sanders is pulling here and completely whiffs. An amazing job by Hill to roll off of the contact. Huge fan of Edwards (81) looking for someone to hit. Also Rico Scott (7) gets pretty physical here. Jackson Lloyd (77) makes this play however. Once engages - his feet never stop driving forward. This is the difference in Alabama this season.

Idk that Josh Cuevas will ever get the love he deserves in Tuscaloosa - what if there was one constant post-Saban to DeBoer transition - it was him.

LB popped some during A Day and a guy that’s in the rotation who probably isn’t getting enough kudos is Cayden Jones. I like this rep from the junior, even though it resulted in a TD. A couple of things first - OL gets a good jump off the snap. But Jones has instant play recognition and immediately dials in on the mobile design to the right - tracking his responsibility - the QB. Also have to acknowledge that it feels like Daniel Hill gives up on the play early - which in live action would’ve led to clean lane for Jones to hit the QB.

Kalen DeBoer’s answer here, to me at least, is the long way of saying “of course we want to compete for titles, but if we can control what we can control - the rest will take care of itself.” That sounds an awful lot like Saban. The philosophy isn’t as different as some would have you believe. Original video via Jamie Hale

I remember sitting at my mom’s - I couldn’t watch. Went to the front porch… All I heard was a very loud, “THEY DID IT AGAIN!!!” Deep down - I knew. Where were you watching during the “Rocky Block?” Also - kudos to the refs for not throwing the flag on Cody for taking his helmet off.

I’d venture to say there will be zero “jogging issues” out of Bray Hubbard in 2026. Will be interesting as well to see what this season does for his draft stock. Vid via TideinMotion

If you’re wondering why Alabama fans are excited about Keelon Russell - look no further… He really does look like a 6’3, 201 lb Bryce Young out there sometimes. Video via TideinMotion and Hudl

Paul Finbaum saying that Keelon Russell is 100% gonna transfer has got to be one of the most ridiculous takes I’ve heard so far. Why is anyone still listening to him?

A quick look at new Alabama QB commit Elijah Haven via MaxPreps. A couple of things you’ll notice right off the bat - Haven is TALL and can see most, if not all, of the field. His mechanics are coming along but could use some tweaking. This will allow him to more accurately layer passes - an area has improved between his sophomore and junior season. The ceiling for the #1 QB out of the 2027 recruiting class is extremely high!!! If Alabama can put a little more weight on this kid - you’re potentially looking at a lighter version of Cam Newton back there.
