Mikel #ARTETA - coaching methods - Explaining idea behind ”hexagon” shape field in positional game (6v6+4) Same exercise as down below ⬇️ - The fullback wide to wide winger pass can be an efficient press-trigger > wants to create better angles between ”wide players”

☘️New Celitc Coach | Wilfried Nancy Attacking Ideas (VIDEO) Some interesting concepts explained; ▪️Ball-oriented overloads → Create strong overloads close to the ball with patient short passes possession to create; - Numerical Advantage + a free player between lines ▪️Space over Position → Players move dynamically within the overload zone to identify the free space between lines → Same applies for the ball-far players providing diagonality position '' as close position as needed '' → From the diagonal position they can accelerate the attacks or again find the free player between the lines ▪️Manipulate opponent defensive structure → As explained in the video the idea is to attract and move opponent heavy towards the ball as many times as needed until opponent cannot solve the situation fast or properly 📽️ Created with Metrica PlayBase | Metrica Sports

Racing Santander - In possession analysis Some interesting concepts applied by Racing: 1⃣ Ball-Oriented Overload ▫️Strong ball-oriented structures to create numerical advantage ▫️Quick combinational play to find the free man in short spaces via 3rd man, lay-offs ▫️The overload manipulates opponent structure to shift with many players to one area in order to defend the overload which ➡️ creates either spaces between them or in the ball-far side ➡️ that Racing tries to reach via diagonality positions and passes 2⃣ Diagonality Switches / Minimum Width ▫️The ball-far players always position themselves diagonally to create an open body position to ➡️ accelerate attacks in potential switches away from the ball-oriented overload 3⃣ Re-shape (after ball-loss) via short-passes ▫️Big idea with the overload ideas is to better control the potential transitions against and have stronger counter-pressing ▫️I like the idea of after ball-recovery ➡️ play quick short passes, within short distances to ➡️ control the rhythm + give time to create new ''overload'' situations in a ''controlled'' way 📽️Made with Metrica PlayBase | Metrica Sports

#Liverpool use of central oriented 4-back in Open-Play The concept implemented by Arne #Slot: Idea is to attract centrally with central FB positioning > FBs position centrally to create space wide & behind opposing midfield while maintaining protection vs potential transitions
