Our politics are broken. We’re headed in the wrong direction. I’m running for Cook County Board President to fix our problems and create a future where we can grow, and succeed. Please take a moment to watch this video and share this post.

Brandon Johnson would never have become Mayor of Chicago without his mentor, Toni Preckwinkle. Toni plucked Johnson out of political obscurity to be a County Commissioner, supported his campaign for Mayor & has done nothing to stop his disastrous failures over the last 3 years. If you’ve had enough of Mayor Johnson’s failures, vote to retire his mentor & political boss Toni Preckwinkle on Tuesday, March 17th. It’s time for a change!

Under Toni Preckwinkle, Cook County spending has gone up billions of dollars: the budget has grown 250% on her watch. Now local property taxes are skyrocketing, while seniors are struggling & too many working families can’t make ends meet. Toni promised not to raise the Sales Tax. Then she did. Don’t forget about her crusade to impose a new Soda Tax. Now taxes are out of control & doing real harm to struggling families across Cook County. Can you really afford four more years of Toni Preckwinkle? It’s time for a change.

CBS2 Chicago is reporting on a recent University of Chicago poll conducted last month. The poll predates our TV ad campaign that’s been running for a month exposing Toni Preckwinkle’s dishonest representation of my record & her own indefensible record on creating new local taxes.

Earlier this year, a jury of her peers found Toni Preckwinkle’s political committee guilty of lying about a political opponent & was ordered to pay $1.47 million in restitution. It is no surprise Toni Preckwinkle is already attacking my record with dishonest attack ads. She can’t run on her own record of shady ethics and policy failures, so she is trying to smear and distort my record of service. Please watch this video & share. The court of law may not be able to stop Toni Preckwinkle’s campaign from lying, but together, we sure can.

Toni Preckwinkle’s property tax bill fiasco is already costing school districts throughout Cook County $120 million - more than $220,000 per DAY in interest at the Chicago Public Schools - to cover for delayed revenues from County. We can’t afford to continue down this path. This is just one more reason why we need fresh, new leadership in Cook County government.
