They broke the internet with an authentic interaction that was caught on video at a Pacers-Nets game, and now they're here to talk about it, and so much more. I had the great privilege of interviewing America's favorite couple, Michael and Grace! Hope you enjoy!

An honest and transparent Pascal Siakam after the Pacers fall to 6-24: “When we decide that losing is not ok, we’re gonna go somewhere. But if we go out there every single day and it just feels like, okay, we lost another game, it does not matter, we’re just gonna keep sinking. I don’t think we’re gonna get out of it, until when you lose and you go home and it really hurts you. Like if it doesn’t matter, we’re just gonna keep coming in here and do the same thing and lose every night and it’s gonna be it is what it is. Like, who cares? We just lost another game, it doesn’t matter. I don’t like that feeling. And if we don’t decide to change that, it’s not gonna change. We have to make it happen. Nobody is going to feel sorry for us. We can’t blame the schedule. The day that we decide that we’re tired of it, I think we’re gonna go somewhere.”

Rick Carlisle shares his first conversation he had with Tyrese Haliburton once he got to Indiana in 2022: “Look me in the eyes and watch what I’m telling you. This is your team, you have the opportunity of a lifetime here, I’m turning the keys over to you, I don’t wanna call plays, you’re running this thing and I’m giving you my trust right now.” Terrific interview with Zach Lowe.

Really enjoyed this quote from Coach Rick Carlisle about commitment to defense, not celebrating a win when you're 3-16 and what type of guys will be playing on this team: "Defense in today's NBA has to be coached hard. Has to be coached hard by the Head Coach, the Defensive Coordinator, the Defensive Coaches and really it has to be coached hard by the players to themselves. They have to understand its importance and they have to believe in its importance. And if they don't believe its importance they're not gonna play. Tonight, Mathurin did some really good things defensively. I was ready to tackle (Jarace) Walker on the first play of the second half when he casually let Middleton get wide open for a shot. I mentioned it to him pretty strong in a huddle and then after the game. This is no the time to celebrate after winning your third win in 19 or 20 games. We've gotta keep working. The guys on our roster that came in this league thinking that this was gonna be about aesthetics and skill and a rhythm and all that stuff, ain't gonna be playing on this team. They're just not. That's not where we are. We've seen some growth but it's going to be an ongoing task and challenge." Question by Dustin Dopirak of IndyStar

Tim Legler explains the problem with ESPN’s coverage of small market basketball teams on the Russillo show: “And I wish I had video of all the meetings I’ve been in this year at ESPN when I wanted to talk more about the Indiana Pacers. Particularly after they got Siakam…𝙖𝙖𝙖𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙞𝙩’𝙨 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙨𝙚𝙭𝙮 𝙚𝙣𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝.”

Pacers GM Chad Buchanan on what’s going on with LeBron James and the Indiana Pacers: “If you’re expecting the LeBron to the Pacers announcement to come…it’s not coming. Every team made their pitch to Rich (Paul) on what they could offer, as did we. I can’t tell you where he’s going to end up, but it won’t be Indiana.”

I asked Tyrese Haliburton how pregame chapels have helped him throughout the season and to keep his mind clear: “Chapels a big part of my game day routine…that 15-20 minutes I get everyday to step aside and talk about what really matters, which is my Lord and Savior, I think is very important for me. We’ve built a little bit of a community within our locker room too. In the past, it was just me and Buddy (Hield) when we first got here, but now we gotta few different guys coming. We’ve got coaches coming. That’s important because it’s builds another sense of community and everybody’s welcome. It’s been a big part of my success, and honestly my sanity throughout this year, because it’s been an up and down year. I know that coming back to the book (the Bible), always makes me feel at peace and know the bigger picture. Coach Moe (the team chaplain who runs the chapels) has been a big part of my success the last 2-3 years.”
