the more i build Taste 👅, the more i think the future of software design might not involve a canvas. if we’re going to design with language, we need to learn how to speak design to LLMs. so... i just shipped Design Breakdowns in Taste! it shows how LLMs interpret static and motion design, helping you build the vocabulary to describe what’s in your head. my hunch is that a lot of AI design looks like slop because we know what we want to see, but don’t know how to say it to an LLM correctly.

this new Map App on Superlocal is weirdly fun! it automatically turns your life into a heatmap of everywhere you spend time it's pretty cool to be able to zoom around the world and see where you've spent your time

this new Superlocal feature is really fun: it looks at your check-in history + timeline data and instantly builds a map of places you’d probably like within a 1 hour drive basically: a personalized map for your next little adventure

i don’t think enough people realize Swarm is actively being worked on again just added a new heatmap feature that shows what’s “swarming” nearby, plus some really fun new visualizations of your check-ins on the map feels like the beginning of a much more alive Swarm

i made a fun, weird concept map feature for superlocal i was thinking about how when every route on apps like google maps are optimized to get people to places ultra efficiently, you stop discovering so i built a concept that gives you bonus points in superlocal for going off-course on the way to a place called "drift mode"

built a whoop-style training/recovery app for my apple watch as a weekend project… no more $300/year contracts. gives me recovery scores, effort goals, trends, and more.

Launched a fun little game called Crackle - built entirely with SwiftUI: it’s like Wordle, but you’re cracking a safe! (linked in thread)

the Swarm map is starting to feel alive again! added new ways to explore your check-ins around the world... heatmaps, clusters, and little visual details that make your past travels feel way more fun to revisit
