🚨 A Muslim man was arrested on Southwest Airlines after a prayer alarm went off on his phone. The Southwest Airlines flight from Nashville to Fort Lauderdale was diverted to Atlanta. Upon landing, Atlanta Police boarded the aircraft and removed the passenger. False reports by right wing account claim he was threatening to blow up the plane, when in reality he was praying in 'a foreign language', and it was likely that a prayer app alarm went off on his phone. The muslim passenger was released without charge.

Khabib Nurmagomedov says his public support for Palestine has come at a commercial cost, claiming that several sponsors have ended their partnerships with him and members of his team. According to the former UFC champion, the fallout has also affected fighters including Islam Makhachev and Usman Nurmagomedov, who have likewise voiced their support for Palestine. Khabib said some companies were unwilling to continue their commercial relationships with the fighters because of their public statements and positions on the issue. He described the sponsorship losses as a direct consequence of their decision to speak openly in support of Palestine. The claims have reignited debate over the consequences athletes can face when they use their public platforms to comment on major political and humanitarian issues. Despite the reported financial impact, Khabib has indicated that he remains committed to his position, while Makhachev, Usman Nurmagomedov and others have continued to publicly express solidarity with Palestine.

Hollywood actor Giancarlo Esposito, who was well known for playing the role of Gus Fring in Breaking Bad, has reportedly embraced Islam whilst filming a project in Saudi Arabia. Turki Alalshikh, a government official in Saudi Arabia, who is the chairman of the General Entertainment Authority posted on X: “Giancarlo Esposito, the movie and Breaking Bad star, recites the Shahada and joins the crew for prayer yesterday at the mosque after feeling at ease dealing with Muslims during filming in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia… Praise be to Allāh”.

Allāh saved him 🤲🏾❤️ The passenger on board the Azerbaijan Airlines flight which crashed in Kazakstan survived with minor scratches on his face, Alhamdulillah. During the flight, minutes before the plane went down he recorded a video for his wife, in the video he could be seen reciting the shahadah and repeating the takbir.
