Whoever shot this 17 minute video showing a drive through Pacific Palisades one month ago had no idea how historic it would become. If you’re not from Los Angeles, this might give you a better idea of what we’ve lost. Please keep in mind this is just ONE street. This doesn’t include the entire Pacific Coast Highway, most of Altadena, and an additional 18 miles of Pacific Palisades. 💔💔💔

This is what the Oscars looked like in 1979 when Johnny Carson was hosting. This was also the first time an Oscar producer ever won an Emmy for producing the Academy Awards. Jack Haley Jr. certainly deserved it. This was also the year of Meryl Streep’s first nomination.

In honor of William Friedkin… In 1973, THE EXORCIST had the longest running engagement at the Mann National Theater in Westwood. This historic footage shows audience members reacting to the film. The subject matter truly rattled people to their core. What an astonishing accomplishment for a director.

Just heard Astrud Gilberto passed away. I’ve always found her to be one of the most unique voices of all time. THE GIRL FROM IMPANEMA was the first song she ever recorded (with Stan Getz) and it played a key role in making the Brazilian sound a phenomenon in the United States and introduced millions of listeners to the wonders of Bossa Nova. ❤️🎶
