I'm currently stranded at Burning Man, along with thousands of others. Despite the unexpected challenges, some artists managed to put together an impromptu catwalk show. The “I’m in the mud” show is a metaphor for trying stuff and always learning. I'm deeply inspired by the ingenuity and resourcefulness of this community.

This is Gwyneth Paltrow's promo for a probiotics startup. Her son frothing milk in the background, the delicate supplement nibble, the ad script reflecting off her glasses, and her one-take dedication. This is a marketing savant.

Australia’s censorship industrial complex: “The problem that you’ve got here with this eSafety Commissioner, she’s an activist. She will continue to expand her role to police the internet, to censor debate in a way that’s consistent with her own ideological views. You have these unelected bureaucrats that have vague powers and they will fill it with their views and she has their track record of censorship and it only ever targets one side.”

A woman on TikTok has posted a 24-part series about falling in love with her psychiatrist, claiming he manipulated her into it. She makes absurd claims in her videos and heavily consults AI, which always affirms her delusions. I think the bigger concern is that AI turns people into insufferable self-obsessed narcissists, rather than inducing psychosis in people who weren’t already prone to it. Hopefully we don't all end up microdosing these types of people/situations.

I didn't expect the stoic guy to completely misinterpret Elon (especially since stoicism is a philosophy of truth-seeking), but Elon is clearly pro real, genuine empathy and against this weaponized version of "empathy" coming from the left. The weaponized version isn't deployed for any benevolent purpose, but rather to justify bad leftist policies and make anyone who opposes them look like a sociopath.
