7,000 Years Old “Spanish Stonehenge” 🪨 Located in the Valdecañas reservoir in the province of Cáceres, Extremadura, Spain. 🇪🇸 First discovered and excavated in 1926 by German archaeologist Hugo Obermaier. The Longmen Grottoes look like they were carved with industrial equipment; except every surface says otherwise. Cut straight into the limestone cliffs of Henan, China, there’s more than 100,000 Buddhist figures some towering stories high. Most were carved between the late Northern Wei and Tang dynasties, roughly 1,500 years ago, using nothing more advanced than chisels, hammers, and patience measured in generations.

What looked Like a Mound of Earth in the Jungle Turned out to be the Tomb of King. His name was Te K’ab Chaak the first ruler of the Ancient Mayan City Caracol, located in modern day Belize. His bones were almost eroded to dust because of the harsh climate, but fragments were enough to date his demise to 350 CE What did remain were jadeite spider monkey beads & the components of his funerary mask carefully reassembled. How did Ancient Egyptians carve Granite with Copper Chisels? The age old “Alternative History” question. The Answer is they didn’t, that’s a red herring. After many years of pondering this question then researching this I came to learn that ancient Egyptians carved hard stones like Granites with Flint tools. This knowledge came from old books, tomb paintings & the artifact record. For many when I shared this information they were incredulous. Show me they asked, prove it they shouted, “do it yourself” they insisted. Well I’ve neither the resources nor the skills of a stone mason. But as luck would have it there are others who do and are. Here a present a professional stone mason using Flint tools to carve Quartzite.
