How is water flowing through Polavaram canals before the project is fully completed? Through the Pattiseema & Purushothapatnam Lift Irrigation Schemes, which lift Godavari water and divert it to the Krishna River and North Andhra. These are interim systems. Once Polavaram is fully completed, water will flow through the main canals by gravity.
