Hosted a “We’re Not Really Strangers” evening last night. 20 strangers (now friends!). We stayed up to 2 am. We had 3 rules: 1 . Everyone brings a bottle (or drink) 2. Throughout the night, you can’t pour your own drink. 3. No work talk. H/t to Dylan Itzikowitz for hosting with me.

I’ve been to this bookstore cafe in La Condesa in CDMX six times over the past week. It’s open to early morning to almost midnight. Serves good coffee, breakfast, lunch, dinner. Has a wide variety of books and board games, live music all day and strong WiFi. Ppl come to read, write, people watch and go on dates. The ideal third space if I’ve seen one.

Whenever I travel, I build a custom app that feeds in all my friends’ recommendations for restaurants, coffee shops, and things to do. I can literally just upload a screenshot of their recs, and it will plot all of them on an interactive map. It can also bookmark places, create an itinerary, see opening hours, etc. Takes about 5 minutes to do with Claude Code. By far my favorite use case for AI. This was the one I created for Copenhagen:
