However, consumers do receive full control of their digital property if they’re allowed the opportunity to acquire virtual items in the form of tokenized assets. Games that currently utilize blockchain infrastructure to operate in-game economies allow players true rights to their acquired digital property. Though this concept extends beyond gaming, many of today’s popular gaming entities control the assets purchased by players within private databases and can make decisions around this property at their free will.
