My Newest family member and portfolio addition: Eggs! 🐣📈 With egg prices $4.95 per dozen in USA I decided to skip eggs and bacon breakfast for one morning and placed a few fertilized eggs from free-range hens into an egg incubator from Temu 😅 The result after 21 days? 🧵 Four adorable chicks 🐥🐥🐥🐥 Here's the breakdown: These hens will start laying eggs at about 18 weeks old. They'll produce approximately 1 egg per day in their most productive 3 years. Average of 300 eggs per year over 3 years, each hen could lay around 1000 eggs in her lifetime.
