I spotted Aloy Ejimakor, one of Nnamdi Kanu’s lawyers, among the small group of protesters mobilised in Abuja by Omoyele Sowore. I wonder what Mr. Ejimakor was thinking when he decided to join this shambolic protest. As a lawyer, he should be aware of the principle of sub judice, particularly in relation to the ongoing treason case before the court. The prosecution has concluded its case, and it is now incumbent upon Mr. Ejimakor and the other lawyers to mount a strong defence for Kanu. Rather than focusing on preparing a strong case, Mr. Ejimakor has resorted to extra-legal tactics, joining a career anarchist, to influence the process. Ejimakor’s action questions his adherence to professional ethics. Legal authorities shouid consider appropriate sanctions for the unethical conduct of the bearded lawyer.

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), through the Air Component of Operation HADIN KAI, has sustained its aggressive counter-terrorism air campaign in Borno State, delivering decisive strikes against terrorist strongholds and logistics enclaves within the Sambisa Forest axis. Following credible Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance reports, NAF air assets on 26 May 2026 executed precision strikes on identified terrorist hideouts and support structures at Biramiri in the Gezuwa general area of Borno State. The coordinated attacks destroyed key terrorist facilities and neutralised several fighters, further crippling the operational capacity of the insurgents—-NAF

STATEHOUSE PRESS RELEASE FUEL SUBSIDY REMOVAL SAVED NIGERIA FROM BANKRUPTCY, SAYS PRESIDENT TINUBU President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Friday said the removal of fuel subsidy by his administration saved the country from imminent bankruptcy and laid the foundation for the gradual recovery of the nation’s economy. He spoke when he hosted state governors who came to celebrate with him the Sallah and the third anniversary of the administration. In attendance were the Governors of Lagos, Nasarawa, Jigawa, Sokoto, Kebbi, Taraba, Niger, Ekiti, Delta, Ondo, Edo, Adamawa, Benue, Enugu, Ogun, and Kogi States, as well as the deputy governors of Borno and Kano. President Tinubu acknowledged that the decision to remove the subsidy was difficult and painful for many Nigerians, but stressed that it became necessary to rescue the country from fiscal collapse and restore economic stability. "It was challenging at the time, but we survived. We face litigation and accusations. We survived them. Instead of bankruptcy, Nigeria has survived. The economy has recovered. It is growing. Agriculture is booming. "Today I was watching some clips of the Sokoto -Badagry axis. Imagine how many dams on that corridor for irrigation, for farm land, for electricity. Well, many of you have survived and promoted the perseverance of many of our people, asking them to trust this government, and you have built that trust around one person: my leadership. I thank you very much’’ the President said. President Tinubu also thanked Nigerians for their patience, resilience and understanding, assuring them that the difficult phase was gradually yielding positive outcomes. The President said ongoing reforms in infrastructure, agriculture, social investment, foreign exchange management and fiscal discipline were beginning to restore investor confidence and improve economic prospects. President Tinubu also commended the Governors for their cooperation, support and commitment to national development, noting that the partnership between the federal and state governments played a vital role in stabilising the economy. `` I'm glad governors are no longer borrowing from the federal government and asking for interventions and not knowing how to survive, how to pay salaries, no more. You kept the spirit, you kept the hope. You persuaded our people to be patient and endure these three years of painful reform, during which we put the economy on a reset. Today, the benefits are showing. ` "The economy has recovered. Macroeconomic indices are doing very well. Construction is ongoing on roads and infrastructure; the ones abandoned have been rehabilitated. "The housing industry is coming on very well. Agriculture will prosper again. We will achieve food sovereignty if we utilise the land that is in your possession and in your various states effectively,’’ he said. The President assured Nigerians that his administration would continue to implement people-oriented policies aimed at reducing hardship, creating jobs, strengthening food security and ensuring inclusive economic growth. Vice President Kashim Shettima commended the President's doggedness, tenacity and courage in confronting corruption in Nigeria's oil industry in the name of the fuel subsidy. `` Your Excellency, Mr President, this is the essence of your leadership. You did not come to power in the season of ease. You came at a time when the house required more than a canter. It required a builder with the courage to examine the foundation you inherited. ``In that defining hour, you choose not to postpone the surgery. You choose not to massage the wound. You choose to confront the contradictions that have held this country hostage for 50 years; that is the miracle of your courage. The scales have now fallen from the eyes of Babachir Lawal, a 2023 supporter of Peter Obi. He now realizes that Obi, who dreads primaries, desires a consensus that benefits him alone—a philosophy seemingly ingrained in his DNA. In street parlance, it is called 'Me only, nobody else' or 'I before anybody else'. Obi is a very selfish politician. He cannot build a political party. He goes to where other people have toiled to cook the soup and takes the biggest meat in the pot. Gbajue politician of this era!

This morning, I awoke in my hotel room at Windjammer to the breathtaking beauty of Saint Lucia unfolding before me—lush greenery of swaying palms and trees, charming houses nestled in hills, and the shimmering blue expanse of the Caribbean Sea in the distance. As I captured the moment, the melodic chirping of birds harmonised perfectly with my video, as if nature was relishing the scene. Saint Lucia is a paradise of sorts, where pristine landscapes and the rain forest remain largely untouched—a spectacle unmistakable on the journey from the airport to Castries, the capital. It’s a place that lingers in one’s heart, and to which I long to return.

Wike on Kugbo Bus Terminal, Abuja “It was a natural disaster that no one had control over. Only roofing sheets were affected, and the damages are already being fixed. The terminal did not collapse. The structure is intact. What happened was that strong winds blew off parts of the roof. Repairs are ongoing. We thank God no life was lost”.

Who should be blamed for the 133m Nigerians, multidimensionally poor?. The Federal Government? No. The states? Yes. The 774 local councils? Yes. They are constitutionally empowered to provide all the facilities that will take our people out of that crushing poverty bracket. Not the Federal Government. Please watch this presentation by Prince Clement Agba, former Minister of National Planning, under whose watch the first multidimensional report was released in 2022.
