3 years ago I started a company called musicfy today I officially exited since starting musicfy it made millions of dollars in profit + grew to over 7m users building musicfy genuinely changed my life + gave me the confidence to build all the other things I built before we sold I owned 100% of the company + fully bootstrapped I sold to a PE firm that raised money and is taking the company to the next level I'll maintain 10% ownership + a place on the board really excited to see how the new ownership take the company past +10m ARR

when I was building my first company I slept on 6 different couches in one week monday - thursday I was at school friday - sunday I was in the office I used to take a 4hr train on Thursday night to get to oakland at midnight, then drive an hour home then on sunday I would take the same train back I did during my entire freshman year I spent only 1 weekend at college for a final I wanted to build the biggest company possible + knew that I wanted it more than anyone I remember a night where I was leaving the train station and it was pouring at midnight in Oakland I knew that if I just kept showing up and working harder than anyone around me something would happen It got really hard at times to stay consistent but I never stopped 1 month after this video I had my first $100k month don’t stop
