It's also just not the setting for that. Openworld is either: An above-average person facing equally scaled threats. (Horizon, GTA/Red Dead, Ghost of Tsushima, Cyberpunk) Basically a demigod character fighting extreme threats. (Spiderman, Infamous, Elden Ring etc.) Starcraft is almost exclusively regular dudes fighting insane things. Why it's an RTS game lol. What will the gameplay be? 20 of your Marine friends getting hatefucked by an Ultralisk in a field? The trailer itself depicts this ironically. The scale of the setting does not lend itself to this. There is no street-level stuff going on like in 40k or something.
