honestly nothing really fancy 😅 the main trick is I wanted to flatten 3d as much as I could to focus on silhouettes. SO there's that 1 meter focal length camera that frames objects very far away from each other. Very few shaders, mostly white materials and color mapping in post

you can see there's: - a crosshatch triplanar normal map on the mesh - a solidify modifier with a second material for the shell - shell has flipped normals + pure black + noise in alpha - compositing is noise on position + displace nodes..
