A serious incident shared by Be as Jesus: his 2025 Model 3 loses control in wet freeway conditions, spins, and impacts the center median. The vehicle was totaled. He kindly allowed me to analyze the footage in TesCam Studio, which confirms FSD was active. Glad he walked away from this. It’s a reminder that traction and conditions remain critical variables.

Shame on you, KTLA, for the biased and unprofessional coverage of the Tesla Diner, something many people are genuinely excited about. First, Ellina Abovian drops the cameraman’s burrito from the Tesla Diner on the ground, saying “it wasn’t any good anyway.” Then, while reporting in front of the diner, she opens a burrito she ordered from Uber Eats instead. She goes on to declare she “owes no loyalty to Elon Musk” and admits she intended to order from Tesla but said it “didn’t look very appetizing.” She insists it’s an “unbiased review” while asking viewers to deliver her caviar. Later, Mark Kriski has the cameraman pan to a drive-in screen blocking an apartment view. Then, for no clear reason, Ellina makes a strange comment about “hard tacos” she never ordered. Finally, the camera pans back to her holding a coffee and offering, unsolicited, “the coffee is excellent, but it’s also not from here.” The anchors themselves called out how unusually mean Ellina was acting, making it clear this wasn’t her typical behavior, and suggesting this wasn’t just reporting, but biased commentary.

Tesla FSD 12.3.6 Recognizing Hand Signals?! Is FSD 12 finally recognizing hand held stop signs and hand signals given by roadway workers? I tested this in an actual functioning construction zone with traffic being diverted wrong way and witnessed some impressive results! What are your thoughts on this?

FSD Beta 12: The One Where It Parks Itself After consistently having the car either park itself into a stall (if my destination was a parking lot) or pull to the curb out of the roadway (if the destination was on a street), I experienced this… Set the destination to a random alley in Downtown Sacramento. The car pulls into the alley, driving slow. Based on my previous experiences earlier in the drive it appears to be looking for a spot. Seems like it couldn’t find one it could fit into. Instead of stopping in the middle of the roadway (how v11 would have performed) the car rerouted itself around the block and back into the alley. When it gets back into the alley, it immediately parks into a parking stall instead of proceeding all the way to the destination. This is EXACTLY what I would have done if I was driving. After seeing there was no parking spots the first time, I would have driven around the block and parked in the first available spot I could find. Whether or not this is what actually happened is up for debate. But based on the previous 5 or so tests I performed before this, it really does seem like it was looking for a spot to park. I’ll post the video of the entire drive with the other parking examples later on today. Maybe Elon Musk can chime in as to what happened here?

This traffic circle has been a long-standing pain point for me on FSD. As you can see, the car consistently drives in the bike lane here. I’ve documented this behavior before on FSD 12, 13, and now 14. The issue appears to stem from outdated map data. This section of the circle used to function as a two-way roadway. At the time, there was no bike lane and vehicles traveled in the space FSD still prefers today. Since the redesign, that area is now a dedicated bike lane, but FSD doesn’t reliably recognize the change. Depending on the version, it will occasionally handle this correctly, but most of the time it does not. This is currently the only issue I consistently experience with FSD. It’s not safety critical. The car will move if a cyclist, vehicle, or object is present, but reliance on outdated map data in locations like this needs to improve.

FSD 12.3 - The One Where All The Lanes Are Blocked I ran into a unique edge case where nearly the entire roadway was blocked by a tow truck. My car couldn't have been in a worse spot, as it needed to work its way over three lanes and then make a decision if it could fit between a narrow opening next to the tow truck or completely change course and make a left turn, avoiding the entire situation. The contemplation of its decision can be seen in a slow motion replay at the end of the video.
