"Hooray Gary, we're finally huge!" is one of the all time random SpongeBob lines to me. I love the implication that one of SpongeBob's dreams is just to wake up giant one day

I'm physically incapable of watching this bit without laughing

As a nerd, my biggest issue with specific animation call-backs is when the motion is worse than the original (love the drawings for the target ad tho)

I love gags like this that seem so obvious, but so clever at the same time

For inquiring minds, basically the biggest difference is the more prominent stock squeak rubber sound effect and lower pitch

I can't do it...I can't do it Squidward...every tv show, every movie, REVIVAL REBOOT REHASH SPINOFF, DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND?! IF I HAVE TO SEE ANOTHER RECYCLED IDEA I THINK I'M GONNA EXPLODE

Intrigued by SpongeBob's unenthusiastic screaming and vocalizations from the earliest of early episodes, I guess it's a relic from when they hadn't quite decided on the range of his voice yet.

"It reminds me of money" while talking about a butterfly is such a wonderfully stupid line

If you ever wondered what the backwards message in "Opposite Day" is, it's a 'why did the chicken cross the road' joke with the set-up missing lol

Even the normal “bouncing head” dialogue animation is done extremely well

Love how silly this gag is

The other new episode didn't wow me quite as much, but I do really like the inking in this short little bit, with his eyes and top of his head being thicker

THE PATRICK STAR SHOW: "The Patrick Show Cashes In," "The Commode Episode," "Too Many Patricks," "Chopping Spree," "Pat-Per Route," "A Tinkle in Time."

I love the execution of this scene in the episode, it's just a genuine psychotic breakdown with the only source of comedy being crazy drawings and squeaking sounds that really add more to the chaotic tone of the scene than they get laughs.

To my knowledge, this is the only time Krabs actually says "SpongeBoy me Bob," despite it being so heavily quoted

Comparing the recently released "Timeline Twist-Up" to the original season 1 episodes...🧵 In order: "Rock Bottom," "Ripped Pants," "Neptune's Spatula," and "Help Wanted."

Here's some comparisons of similar bits between the sneak peek and the first two episodes of s1. There's no question for me that the season 1 scenes have better animation, and they definitely don't move the same. I'm not even a diehard Phineas fan but...come on lol

People always talk about how characters in SpongeBob became so exaggerated after the movie alone, but by season 3, Krabs was already willing to send SpongeBob to Hell for pocket change lol

I love how dumb this first gag is with Patrick

I love when SpongeBob or any other character is drawn way smaller just to make a certain gag or visual work

"I Can't Keep my Eyes Off of You" ** WRITTEN BY: Eban Schletter and Zeus Cervas People really hate this episode and I can see why, but I do love this song (clam karate included.) I cherish the more rock sounding songs from this show.
