Designed this site in Fable 5 with just a few prompts. And no, this is not a lame post where I attach my actual (not AI) work on an AI post to get views by making fun of a launch. This is actually Fable 5, as you can clearly see (with some of the elements that scream AI generated). But man is it doing a great job!

I just designed a website with Claude Fable 5. It launched today. And honestly, the lines between AI generated designs and human designs is blurring fast! I run a design agency. AI generated slop makes me want to close it fast! Fable didn't do any of that. Real hierarchy. Intentional whitespace. Restraint. The kind of decisions you usually only see from designers who've shipped real products. No model has come close to this before. Not one. The benchmarks back it up. 80.3% on SWE-bench Pro, where Opus 4.8 scored 69.2%. But the design output impressed me more than any number. Here's the part worth reading twice though. Anthropic's own announcement says writing code stopped being the slow part a while ago, and that Fable pushes the bottleneck toward verification and review. Same is now true for design. → Producing a beautiful screen: getting solved → Knowing which screen to produce, and why: not solved → Designing for trust, edge cases, real users with real money: not solved → Verifying it holds up in production: not solved For designers and developers: production will no longer be the moat.
