Today, Niantic Spatial 🌎 is awardable on the Department of War 🇺🇸’s Tradewinds Solutions Marketplace for 3D Reconstruction, our second capability to clear that bar after Visual Positioning, announced earlier this month. Together they deliver two critical layers of the spatial stack: high-fidelity 3D models of contested environments, and precise location within them; a foundation for mission-critical operations that need to visualize and navigate the physical world. The capability is ready. The procurement path is open.

i’m very bullish on the impact technology, and even more specifically, XR, can have in the healthcare space. just over a year ago we announced a partnership between Niantic Spatial 🌎 and Augment Therapy to explore how we can make physical rehabilitation feel more like play. after a year of prototyping, we’ve shipped half a dozen therapeutic games inspired by Peridot that target everything from physical activation to cognitive engagement and executive function. the impact is already clear: patients are enjoying their therapy. we're seeing them stay engaged for hours, not minutes, because the repetitive, often arduous exercise fades into the background and becomes genuinely fun. looking ahead, i’m most excited to see how our geospatial AI can take this to the next level. can we turn any space – a hospital play zone, a park – into a therapeutic space? our VPS can make that possible. i’m confident immersive tech’s true impact goes far beyond just entertainment.
