Did you know that the Milky Way is even milkier when viewed from the Southern Hemisphere? This is because from the southern side of our planet, we get a clearer, more direct view of the dense galactic core. Here’s a look at the Milky Way starting over the Southern Ocean (between Australia and Antarctica) from our SpaceX Dragon window, complete with some aurora (Southern Lights) and fleeting Starlink satellites. Enjoy the view!

Last week we wrapped up our training at SpaceX - Crew-12 is certified for flight and ready to go to the International Space Station! We’ve now entered quarantine and are prepping our families and logistics. We’re L-13 days from launch at the NASA's Kennedy Space Center! It has truly been an honor to work with this team - I love it when a plan comes together! Photos courtesy of SpaceX

Pure joy! That’s what I was feeling when I saw my family and friends gathered together to “wave across” to Crew-12. A huge thank you from the bottom of my heart to those gathered here (and elsewhere!) for your love and support!

Crew-12 launch rescheduled due to weather, now no earlier than Feb 13. Yesterday we had our dress rehearsal to ensure everything was just right, including pressing the “SPACE” button in the launch tower elevator (zoom in!) and leak checking our suits. We’re ready to go, hopefully in just a few days! Stay tuned!

Four years ago yesterday the Soyuz capsule carrying ЦПК им. Ю.А.Гагарина OlegSkripochka, @AstroDrewMorgan and me touched down back on our home planet. Reflecting now on our incredible mission, and how much my life has changed since then. Squeezed inside our capsule like a baby in the womb, I can’t help but see the parallels. The 2 most significant figures now at my side, my husband Duke Brady and our baby girl, only came on the scene after the “soft landing” of our Soyuz. You never know what life will bring your way! #Family
