The Pashupati Seal. From Mohanjo-Daro. Nearly 4,500 years old. For a century, it refused to speak to us. Then I came across the work of Dr. Rao (yajnadevam). During the COVID lockdown, this Indian computer scientist used cryptography to read what generations of scholars could not. He compared it to the Mahabharat. Found 7 distinct alignments. His conclusion: an ancient prayer to Lord Shiva, carved into a seal. Our ancestors didn't just build cities. They recorded devotion. The British often called it "mythology". When we look up at the pole star, we think it's fixed and assume its always been in the same place. That is not so. Because the Earth wobbles, a phenomenon known as precession. Which changes the sky regularly. Today it's the Polaris at 'pole position' but a few thousand years, it was a different star. Our Vishnu Purana places Dhruv within the Shishumara, the Draco constellation. Modern astronomy confirms this would have been true... but around 4,500 years ago! That was the peak of the Indus Valley Civilisation! Dr. Rao's research points out that whoever wrote those lines in the Vishnu Puran was looking at the sky at that period of time, which is during the Mature Harappan Civilisation! Our Puranas are not just stories. They are the oldest astronomical data logs ever recorded.

For years, we were taught that India's Vedic civilisation came from somewhere else. That Sanskrit was brought by the "Aryans". That the Vedic world and the Indus Valley Civilisation were separate stories. But what if they were always the same? For 100 years, archaeologists & historians tried to decode the Indus script. They failed. Maybe what was needed was out-of-the-box thinking. In 2020, during the Covid lockdown, Dr. Rao (yajnadevam) started working on it. He treated the script like a cryptogram and used Claude Shannon’s information theory. He ran the code: 3,650 inscriptions — all grammatically consistent with Sanskrit. Our ancestors didn’t leave only ruins. They also left messages, waiting for someone to understand. We just forgot how to read them. Until now.
