Yoh! It’s tough being a young, black woman! You cannot have moments of pure innocence. You must be sexualised at every turn. It doesn’t matter how educated & talented you are, you MUST be sleeping your way to the top. Sigh. It’s sad that this is what our country has been reduced to. Dirty, hyper-sexualised minds, with sewer ridden thoughts from the gutter. As you can see in the video I’ve attached below, the piano video was shot during the filming of the Black Like You audio-visual series. You can clearly hear that there are many people in the background, including Mrs Mashaba, who I admire & love with all of my heart. Mr Mashaba is like a father to me, in fact, he reminds me so much of my late father who raised me with so much love & care (may his soul continue to rest in peace). They even have a resemblance as you can see in the attached photo. That you would take such a beautiful moment & reduce it to where your filthy mind naturally wonders is sad. Very sad indeed.

Residents of Vanderbijlpark are up in arms! They’ve had 60 days of no refuse removal! They are now literally living with worms in their yards! Maggots! They’ve brought their rubbish on the door steps of EmfuleniMunicipality To make matters worse, there’s no electricity for 36 days!

Standing by with E-hailers. Getting ready to go to Pretoria Magistrate's Court, where three suspects will appear in connection with the robbery & murder of a Bolt driver. There’s a spirit of unity & solidarity as we seek justice from the courts, government & companies.

Tshwane, you are well & truly led! Sometimes disaster strikes, it shouldn’t, but it does. What you need in such times is a decisive, empathetic, servant leader, who not only takes charge but also takes responsibility. Dr Nasiphi Moya you ma’am are that leader! Thank you. I yes you!

Controversial take📍 Provinces are ‘nice-to-haves’, they are not ‘must-haves’. Provinces are expensive middlemen whose roles are mostly redundant, functions concurrent & whose responsibilities can be devolved to municipalities or centralised at national. These are my musings🙏🏽

You don’t have to like Herman Mashaba but let’s NOT downplay his contribution! He built a multimillion rand business DURING APARTHEID, where he had to use a DOMPASS to visit suppliers. He established a factory in the township because as a BLACK MAN he couldn’t own property in the suburbs. He hired hundreds of black people, who otherwise would’ve had to be tea girls & garden boys to feed their families. That’s an impressive feat. Let’s be honest 🙏🏽

Is Gold Reef City in breach of safety regulations? Gold Reef is accused of replacing striking workers with unlicensed, unqualified & inadequate temporary staff. If this is true, it opens up a gap for money laundering, underreporting of earnings & a lack of safety for patrons

On a walkabout with Herman Mashaba & entrepreneurs from the Johannesburg Runners Association. These youngsters earn a living by buying goods from wholesalers on behalf of customers via WhatsApp & other platforms. They’ve asked for help in regulating their industry.

Fortune favours the brave! During last night’s mayoral debate hosted by Pastor Mukhuba at the Unity Fellowship Church in Soweto, a young lady stood up & asked a pertinent question. She asked why Herman Mashaba left the DA & why he should be brought back as mayor. Here’s my take

My first 21km EVER! The Women’s Half was such a fitting race to mark this milestone. This race celebrated Jozi’s women, encouraged them to keep going & highlighted their resilience. Every kilometre made a statement: “We belong here, we lead here, we thrive here.” #WeRunJozi!
