Controversial take📍 Provinces are ‘nice-to-haves’, they are not ‘must-haves’. Provinces are expensive middlemen whose roles are mostly redundant, functions concurrent & whose responsibilities can be devolved to municipalities or centralised at national. These are my musings🙏🏽

My first 21km EVER! The Women’s Half was such a fitting race to mark this milestone. This race celebrated Jozi’s women, encouraged them to keep going & highlighted their resilience. Every kilometre made a statement: “We belong here, we lead here, we thrive here.” #WeRunJozi!

Is Gold Reef City in breach of safety regulations? Gold Reef is accused of replacing striking workers with unlicensed, unqualified & inadequate temporary staff. If this is true, it opens up a gap for money laundering, underreporting of earnings & a lack of safety for patrons
