3/23/16 - Kobe Bryant played his final game at and against (87) the Phoenix #Suns, a 119-107 PHX win (PHX: 20-51; LAL: 15-56). Following the game, Kobe gave Devin Booker Kobe's name-brand shoes with the inscription "Be Legendary". Kobe: 17p/3r/2a. Booker: 28p/3r/7a.

3/31/2001 - Leading by 2p at halftime against defending National Champs Michigan State, #UA outscored MSU by 17p en route to a 80-61 win in the Final Four and the school's 2nd National Championship game in 5yrs. Jason Gardner led with 21p while Gilbert Arenas had 12p/7a. #BearDown

6/4/89 - Phoenix hosted Formula One for the 1st time, a 3-day event culminating in the Iceberg PHX Grand Prix which Frenchman Alain Prost won by 39.696 over Italian Riccardo Patrese. 31,441 watched live, The 81-lap race ended at 75 because of the mandatory 2hr limit (2:1:33.133).

3/4/22 - Minus both Chris Paul and Devin Booker, Cam Johnson led the Phoenix #Suns (51-12) w/career-highs in scoring (38p) & 3PM's (9), his final #Shazam, a buzzer-beater to cap off a dramatic comeback (down 14p late in the 3Q) to defeat the NY Knicks, 115-114.

11/23/13 - #19 ASU clinched the PAC-12 South Title with a 38-33 win at #14 UCLA, ASU's 6th straight win. QB Taylor Kelly finished 20-27 for 225yds and 1TD and was the leading rusher with 99yds and 1TD as well. ASU needed to beat UA to host the PAC-12 Champ. vs Stanford. #ForksUp

1/25/97 - 21-year-old Tiger Woods nailed a hole-in-one on the Phoenix Open's 16th hole. His Saturday Ace remains the most famous and potentially loudest cheered shot in the history of the Open. Steve Jones won with a 258 (-26) winning by 11 shots. Woods finished T-18 (-9). #WMPO

5/4/06 - W/no Raja Bell (suspended for clothesline on Kobe) the Phoenix #Suns avoided elimination again, defeating the LA Lakers when Tim Thomas hit a 3 to tie the game in regulation before PHX hit 7 straight scoring 21p in OT to win 126-118, tying the First Round 3-3.

9/20/98 - On the day Cal Ripken's streak ended, RB Adrian Murrell rushed for 101yds in the 4Q as the Cardinals scored 17p in the final 13min to beat the Eagles, 17-3 (Philly's FG came 40sec into the 4Q). Jake Plummer: 21-35 for 137yds. Simeon Rice: 2 sacks. (AZ, 5 total).

12/10/17 - Shannon Evans hit a 3 late to hold off #2 Kansas as #16 ASU upset the Jayhawks at Allen Fieldhouse, 95-85. The win vaulted ASU to #5 in the nation. Kansas led 15-2 early, but ASU went on a 15-0 run in the second half to pull away for good. Tra Holder: 29p/7a. #ForksUp
