I successfully compressed the complete fruit fly brain, including all 139,255 neurons and their connections into approximately 43 MB. Storing the entire connectome on Bitcoin will require around 110 separate Ordinal inscriptions of up to 350 KB each, making the process expensive. To help fund this process, we are considering creating a very limited collection of digital insects, although the exact details are still being defined. Through our neural engine, the fly’s brain could potentially control these other digital insects, influencing their movements, reactions, and behavior The goal is not merely to inscribe a brain as static data, but to make it functional, using the on-chain connectome as the foundation for an autonomous digital ecosystem living entirely on Bitcoin. This remains an experiment with much still to develop, but the vision is clear: preserve the brain, activate it, and create a world where it can continue to exist
