Mike Egan, a combat vet, just DNF’d the Go One More Backyard Ultra after 27 hours… in a wheelchair Well at least until his last lap The rain turned the course into a mud pit & his wheelchair wouldn’t move He gets out of the chair & drags himself & the chair through the mud until he literally couldn’t move He ditched the chair & continued to push True hero Definition of grit God bless this man

I’m not saying the answer is to go barefoot. But I am saying 3 inches of Hoka Cloud support shouldn’t be the only way you can make it through your day. The feet have muscles too ya know? A bunch of them actually. Enough muscle to support your entire body. They run on a simple rule, just like the rest of your body- Use it, or lose it. If you can’t walk across the house or in the yard without shoes.. you’ve probably lost it.. Don’t worry.. you can get it back! Follow me to learn how.

Shoe prices shouldn’t get in the way of your child’s foot health Spending $50 on a pair of shoes my 2yr old will grow out of in a matter of a 2 months is bonkers imo Barefoot shoes are a non negotiable for proper foot development Thankful to have these budget-friendly options!

Your body has a built-in shock absorption system It’s called Pronation The foot, ankle, Achilles tendon, fascia, & lower leg muscles seamlessly soak up impact forces But, if you have Rigid Arches & Stiff Ankles.. Your ‘spring’ may be wound too tight.. & this increases prevalence of -PTTD, -knee pain, -calf cramps, -hip discomfort, -& low back pain. The cool thing is, you CAN train pronation & reclaim its benefits
