just discovered unused code for the overworld enemies in deltarune to shoot bullets that trigger the (partially) unused ambush mechanic when hitting you

if you force the game to make flowery respond to the cd bagel it plays the start of flowery's theme for a second lmao

figuring out how to use deltarune's palette swapping system greenelle may become real

i found the code for this in the files!! it's in an object called obj_bushjump, it's a bit broken by default due to the assets being moved at some point and a bit of the code being fucked with/deleted for some reason, but i was able to fix it

i was trying to find smth in undertale's code but then accidentally found out that the code for replacing omega flowey's sprites with ones in an external folder that toby fox mentioned once is still in the game. it's not even locked behind debug or anything you can just do this

weird unused gimmick for phases 2-4 of flowery's fight where your act button becomes a flower button and you use the orange soul to select the right act from a scrolling selection of them. seems outdated or unfinished since the act works regardless of if you got it right or not

for some reason in chapter 1 exclusively one of the objects deltarune uses to handle audio streaming is programmed to teleport around kris's head constantly lmao. the object's sprite is the soul so it looks like the soul bugging the shit out of kris

third sanctuary is fully charted for guitar in the rhythm game in chapter 5 btw. there's also data for flower man and a dark zone, both lack any charting but a dark zone will spawn jackenstein's pumpkin guys (and also breaks all text alignment until you reset the game lmao)

just discovered that the object deltarune uses for following characters has early data for when a couple of the flowers follow you in its code. orange uses the same sprites, but flowery uses different ones and there's also code for aqua following which never happens

i was gonna say i'm surprised by how many people don't know about that pippins but then realized most people probably don't backtrack through the first sanctuary later on lol, a lot of random npcs are added here and there (like there's a winglade in the same room)

i coded some stuff in to make it easy to access moves without the fight trying to correct itself every turn so here are some cool and funny unused gerson moves

btw one of toriel's attacks from undertale just. exists in chapter 3. i have no idea why or where it could've been used
