Among the equipment visible appear to be Jordanian-made KADDB Al-Wahsh armored vehicles, 23mm anti-aircraft guns, ammunition, and artillery pieces, with some of that equipment reportedly now being moved east. If that is the case, Israel may be moving quickly to strike targets that could weaken Iran’s main sources of revenue. The second possibility is an attempt to provoke Iran into responding by targeting the oil sector in the Gulf states to prolong the war. Hamdi Shukri, commander of the 4th Military Region. A video message from Maj. Gen. Shukri has circulated widely on Yemeni social media. Shukri said his forces would continue the battle "until Yemen is cleansed of Iranian influence." He also claimed that Houthi forces were in a state of collapse and that government-aligned forces had achieved major battlefield successes. His comments reflect his assessment of the fighting and should not be treated as independent confirmation of a wider Houthi collapse. The rural western Ta'izz front is quieter for now as both sides reorganize and bring in reinforcements following the recent fighting. Artillery fire, drone activity, and localized clashes nevertheless continue across several sectors. The National Resistance also claimed that bodies recovered following fighting on the western coast included members of Somalia's al-Shabaab who had fought alongside Houthi forces. Its military media said documents and personal belongings found with the bodies supported the identification. The claim remains unverified. From the published material alone, it is not possible to establish whether the dead were Somali fighters, African Yemenis, or individuals of another background. Fighting has also been reported beyond western Ta'izz. In southern Marib, pro-government forces released footage showing artillery and drone strikes against Houthi positions, artillery sites, vehicles, and sniper positions. In Al-Bayda, local sources reported airstrikes against Houthi positions around Jabal Sawda Ghurab in Al-Zahir District.
