Bathrooms, women's sports, even putting men in women's prisons are all rhetorical red herring excesses downstream from the premise actually in political contention: whether "gender identity/expression" should be recognized in law. To focus on transing kids, or bathrooms, or sports while not rejecting the premise root and stem is to critique the excesses, and reify the premise.

I simply do not care. It has no bearing on my opinions on anything in the here and now"
