Bauhaus table lamp with hemisphere SF 28 by Tecnolumen in chrome-plated and black lacquered metal, polished aluminium and opal glass. The #design of this table #lamp comes from the circle of architects working parallel to the #Bauhaus in Swedish functionalism. At the same time the company Gispen in Holland produced a similar lamp, which also had a hemisphere loosely placed on the glass as a reflector. Learn more:

FARNSWORTH HOUSE • Designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe between 1945 and 1951, the Farnsworth #House near Chicago is considered one of the purest expressions of modern architecture. Raised above the ground and enclosed almost entirely in glass, it embodies Mies’ vision of openness, simplicity and structural clarity. Reduced to its essential elements, the house dissolves the boundary between #architecture and #nature. Today, the Farnsworth House remains one of the most influential icons of twentieth-century #modernism.
