Mystery solved (kinda). Look at these 3 fan cam videos the sound and all mics are even. You can hear Jin, Jimin and Taehyung without an issue in the same parts of the broadcast that went unnaturally low. The Broadcasters (Hulu and Disney+) likely tried to mute the audience to enhance the microphone sounds. This is usually done via a dedicated broadcast audio engineer who will slide the crowd faders up/down significantly. Plus, dynamic microphones make it easier, too. There isn't usually a problem with that method. The second, which has gotten popular over the last few years, is using AI to do it. But what happens is, it can blend everything together messily by accident, creating low parts and extremely high parts of a sound -- so it's incredibly uneven. Not saying which method they used or what happened -- but whatever the Broadcasters did to isolate the mic sounds ended up messing with the main audio feed and there is a strong chance that that is the reason the sound was so off for the broadcast. 🔴 iPhone ARMY 🌟 — AUDIO For your BTS concert memories / recording UPDATE: Stereo was 100% better. For context, while I had floor on D3, I was in section 115, so I wasn’t far away. You can hear a distinctive difference in sound. In the video, i included all my settings. Be mindful to: - reset to default settings after the concert, otherwise you will be recording in raw footage = massive files With the concert settings: 4k at 60 fps = 0:45 is 526MB on my device = 0:05 is 33MB on my device - So, make sure your phone is empty for BTS I’m on a 1TB iPhone 17 Pro Max D3, I didn’t need to use the xZoom Cam app. *ALL* my D3 (I haven’t finished uploading even half of them) is using the iPhone camera on 2x or 4x or 8x. I never went above 8x.

BTS LIVE AUDIO vs. BROADCAST AUDIO // How AI can affect what audiences hear at home LISTEN TO THE DIFFERENCE: Clips 1 and 2 are the same “MIC Drop” performance: the likely AI-suppressed broadcast audio from Disney+ and Hulu vs. BigHit’s human audio engineer and sound captured by their drones. Clips 3 and 4 are the same fan cam: first with its original sound, then after AI was used to enhance the voices and suppress the crowd. This is a ROUGH example to show how AI can accidentally get confused. Remember when we pointed out that parts of the broadcast sounded like one ARMY in the audience was singing with BTS and you could hear it? Also, that the mics were not equal and went unnaturally low? That’s a classic, telltale effect of aggressive AI sound suppression. Watch the end of this video example. Listen for: 1) The ARMY singing along with Tae (AI picked up the audience) 2) the unnatural high-low (Jin and Tae are low, and then it JUMPS for Yoongi, Jungkook and you can hear Hobi) This is what auto-AI does. WHY DOES AI GET CONFUSED? Voices, instruments and crowd noise can occupy the same frequencies. AI has to reverse-engineer the audio and guess which sound belongs where—and the technology is not perfect. HOW DOES THAT CHANGE WHAT WE HEAR? While suppressing the crowd, AI can accidentally cut frequencies from the singers’ microphones, causing sudden volume drops and unnatural low or high pitches. CAPCUT TEST: You can test this yourself using CapCut’s AI Voice Enhance and Crowd Fade. The features are free to test. Try it and see! It’s always fun to experiment :) FOR REFERENCE: L-Acoustics’ Source Intelligence is one example of live AI software that major broadcasters use for TV that isolates vocals from crowd noise and instrumental bleed. I’m NOT saying Disney+ or Hulu used that specific program. Rather, pointing out it does exist for major broadcast and is used.
