Seeing Indians speaking fluently Persian is amazing but sadly a rarity nowadays. Not long time ago, any educated man/woman worthy the name would speak it fluently. The decline of the Persianate civilization is truly a sad historical event.

For those unaware of Afghanistan’s culture, Kabulis were known for their class and sophistication. Now in Kabul you barely see real native Kabulis. The fancy, wealthy, educated type only exists in the diaspora. It’s a completely different place.
