Deeply saddened by the tragic loss of lives in the stampede at Chorbagan Sarbojanin Durga Puja pandal in Kolkata. Our heartfelt condolences are with the bereaved families during this hour of immense grief. The State Government has announced financial assistance of ₹25 lakh and a government job for the family of each deceased. The cost of medical treatment for the injured will be borne by the government, along with financial assistance of ₹5 lakh for each injured person. We pray for the speedy recovery of all those injured. In this moment of grief, standing by the affected families and ensuring that such tragedies are never repeated must remain our foremost priority.
