…these are the 24/7 realities of Ukrainians' lives in the city of Kherson! A volunteer and humanitarian worker from Australia visited Ukraine this summer-specifically the world-renowned city of Kherson, and experienced firsthand what a "russian human safari" using FPV drones looks like. The video is quite long, and I rarely publish posts like this, but I wanted people in other countries to see it. What's more, the video is entirely in English, so there's no need to read subtitles, you can fully and completely immerse yourself in the atmosphere of life in Kherson. No, this is not a nuclear explosion. The rest of the world can still sleep and live in peace. This is just another night in Ukraine, the view from the window of an ordinary Kyiv resident. You watch this through your phone screens, while we watch it from the windows of our own homes. This is just a fragment of the nightly madness that russia allows itself to unleash on the territory of my country. A shard torn out of the lives of Ukrainians. Yes, people died again tonight. Yes, there are wounded. Yes, there was another swarm of attack drones and missiles. It continues, and it feels as though no one can do anything about it.

Supporting my country might seem like an easy task, and it feels like it should be simple when living in another country... But in reality, not everyone can withstand it: how many of those who still continue to stand with Ukraine and Ukrainians are actually left? After all, years of war have passed here. To stand with Ukraine is to absorb everything like a sponge and let it all pass through you, to see the aftermath of shellings in Ukrainian cities, the tears of mothers and children-even if just through a phone screen-to feel and endure that deep emotional pain, to feel salty tears on your cheeks no matter how strong you are mentally and psychologically. All of this leaves its mark day after day, until the next new video from Ukraine. And not everyone can or will want to see that side of humanity. In the video are those very people, the residents of Ukraine. The people of my country. Supporting Ukraine means supporting precisely these people you see. Every single one of them has lost someone close to them, while the war is still raging in our country, and no one knows what the future holds for each of us... Please continue to support Ukraine and the Ukrainian people. This is our home, and this is our land!

Evacuation in Ukraine has been and remains an acute problem: every day, families leave their homes and cities due to intensifying shelling. We all occasionally-and with age, more and more often-look back on our childhood. For some, it was happier; for others, it was not as bright. Yet, everyone can recall something in a moment of sadness, while reflecting in solitude, or finding peace in nature. Many children in Ukraine will remember their childhood as a series of upheavals that caught up with them far too soon; for their fragile psyche, it is an unbearable burden. They are left with too many questions: "Why us? Why now? And why did the russians come here and hate us so much?" There will be too many of these "Mom, why," and the answers will only come with age. How do you explain to a child what "war" is? Something that they previously saw only in movies as a form of entertainment, viewed from the safety and comfort of home, has suddenly appeared right outside their window. Explosions sound ever clearer, closer to home, and there is no point in replacing the windows anymore-they are destroyed too often. A child simply packs their small suitcase, packing away their childhood, and along with it, the memories of the years they have lived. The situation is similar for elderly Ukrainians, although they certainly have more answers than children do. Yet, our elderly parents, in their advanced age, become like children themselves; they require our attention, care, and words of love. In most cases, they are very stubborn, making it incredibly difficult to persuade them to leave dangerous cities and villages where war is already at the doorstep. It is important to remember that not everyone has family to turn to. For some, life has distanced them from their loved ones; for others, it is resentment or anger that keeps them apart. Evacuation is about packing a suitcase and setting off on a "journey." But this is no cruise-and this is a journey that brings no happiness.

…This is a morning for Ukrainians, a morning for Ukraine, and this is what it is like in Kyiv right now. This is not the Donetsk region, where such things have already become a regular occurrence. I remember how what you are seeing once shook the world, but now, today, it simply causes people to have desperate thoughts, a heavy sigh, and silence. Silence, simply because everything has been said long ago, much has been said, and sometimes even very loudly. But... today is morning again for my people. Also, explosions were heard tonight in Sumy, Kryvyi Rih, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro region. The full-scale war with russia has been going on for 1590 days already… too long; who could have thought or imagined that everything would turn out this way, and there are still so many unknown events ahead.

Due to a missile attack, parts of Kyiv and the surrounding region are plunged into darkness. Ukrainians say: 'We won’t see light in our homes today, but the light in our hearts will never go out! Children warm themselves by bonfires because there is no heating at home. We are huddling together with neighbors, facing another difficult winter together!' The whole scene looks like something out of an apocalyptic movie where the world has descended into darkness... just like in those films. But this isn't a movie, and these people aren't actors-they are ordinary residents of my country's capital. No matter how much I admire the people of Kyiv, this video creates an atmosphere of despair. Winter has only just begun, yet we are already facing such circumstances because of the russians-who claim to want 'peace' but they do everything possible to make sure that in response we send them to hell!

…Evacuation in my country is a quiet yet dangerous path. In peaceful countries, people launch drones to capture beautiful views from a bird's-eye view; here in Ukraine, a drone in the sky is a mortal danger, meaning that even the evacuation of civilians can end in tragedy. "Old age is no joy," an elderly person who has lived most of their life might say. And a sad, unfair realization sets in: at sunset, the pain of twilight years is brought not only by a failing body, but also by a war that literally takes everything away. This elderly woman, with tears in her eyes and on her cheeks, is leaving her native home. Along this path, a deadly threat is ever-present in the sky-one that might not even let her reach the car. Along the way, the grandmother asks questions that are constantly on the minds of Ukrainians: What is this punishment for? Why won't anyone stop putin? Why is he tormenting Ukrainians, tormenting Ukraine? Fortunately, the grandmother is alright: she was taken to a transit center, where her family picked her up.

For many years now, my people have been showing the whole world what is happening in Ukraine, and what the russians are doing to our country, our people, and our cities. You often see lines like: "When will the world finally hear us?", "World, don’t close your eyes," or "Please, don’t stay silent." Last night, the russians struck Zaporizhzhia and Sumy again-as always, brutally and mercilessly, as if we Ukrainians are not human beings, but just a testing ground, a place where they can do whatever they want with impunity, because it’s "war," after all. This morning, I see my people showing the world the horrific footage of another terrible night; as always, only the names of the cities change. And yes, the world sees everything, the world hears, the world is not silent. But what is the point of it all? What can an ordinary person from any European country really do on a global scale? We have already heard every kind of condolence, and every prayer in the world has been addressed to Ukrainians and Ukraine. Half of 2026 is already behind us. Perhaps the world has just grown accustomed to someone else’s pain. Or maybe this war has dragged on so long that everyone is starting to feel hopeless and powerless... Honestly, I don't know anymore. But I do know one thing: silence is not an option. Yet, appealing to the world no longer makes sense-everyone already knows, sees, and hears everything. And the russians act as if this is their world, or as if they’ve simply taken the wheel and are dictating the rules of impunity... I don’t even know how to end this text.

…And how was your day today. These residents of Ukraine that you see have been stripped of everything; all they have left is their lives, yet even during the evacuation from unsafe regions of Ukraine, russians try to take even that away. And these are simply elderly people. Today, during an evacuation, a russian drone attacked a volunteers' vehicle. The strike tore off a door, and the car's armor saved the people inside. We have seen a lot over the years of war, but every time, what happens in my country simply fills us with anger and despair. This war… the eyes of these people seem to speak without words: life, why is it like this, why did old age bring not only health problems, but also war to our doorstep. This war and the unbridled, brazen, and shameless behavior of the russians on our Ukrainian soil! They simply kill and abuse people, especially the defenseless. But you already know all this, as does the rest of the world...

2018: Kostiantynivka, there are no russians. 2026: Kostiantynivka, the russians have arrived. Many of us love our hometowns, because if you were born there, the city chose you, not you it. Childhood memories, like a foundation, stay with us until our last day. The memories of many residents of Kostiantynivka, as well as of other destroyed cities in my country, are erased... Erased, because every time they touch upon memories of childhood or simply any time in the past, their memory immediately conjures today's picture of their city: in summer it is shades of green and black, in winter it is white and black. A long time ago, I heard words that penetrated very deeply into me: "There are tears on the face, and there are tears of the soul." Those who see their destroyed city/home are most likely already crying in their souls-there have already been more than enough tears on the face. 2018, it would seem not such a distant past.... One can only imagine how the fate of each person who happened to be in the frame of the person who made this video has turned out, how many of them are still alive... The russians continue to call this a war.

It’s just some kind of insane hatred toward the Ukrainian people. What did my people, what did Ukrainians ordinary Ukrainians, people, children, do so wrong to this world to have to live a part of their lives like this?! What did the person who left this life do wrong… no, they didn't leave it, they were killed by the russians, for what the fuck? What did an elderly woman do wrong, a Ukrainian woman who was buried alive in her own room because of russian shelling? I just look at all of this and my brain cannot find an explanation for this worldwide madhouse called human LIFE. Some kill with impunity, others become victims and resist with all their strength and ability, and others just watch… damn, is this a theater… or a fucking play? I simply refuse to accept everything I've seen over many years as human life. This is some kind of psychopath's dream.

"After the strike on the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, I said: we will prepare a response, and you will see it. I think you are seeing it now. If Ukraine burns, your moscow will burn too," Zelenskyy commented on the strikes on the russian capital. The President of Ukraine recorded a message for journalists in which he noted that despite the three rings of air defense in moscow, Ukraine will still be able to reach it. Volodymyr Zelenskyy called for increasing pressure on russia through sanctions against the energy sector, the shadow fleet, the banking system, and the defense industry. "The main thing is for the people of russia to start feeling that, frankly speaking, one person is waging the war-putin- but the people are paying for it all. And therefore, in my view, everyone needs to put pressure on putin: Ukrainians need to put pressure, absolutely all Europeans, Americans, and it is high time for russians to sober up and put pressure on their leader," he emphasized.

Evacuation in my country happens in different ways. And it is not always successful. More and more often, people have to walk on foot to safer areas where a car will be waiting for them to take them to a safer city. But the path to the car looks exactly as you see it... life-or rather, material possessions, is packed into bags and simply wheeled along in a garden cart. Sometimes, an immobile person might be sitting in such a garden cart, and I have shown you videos like that. Along the way, the war shows its traces, because there are no surviving houses left along the path, everything has been erased, and there are craters from strikes that one has to walk around. I understand very well that there were people who simply did not reach the safer areas, who didn't make it because of a russian drone, or simply because they ran out of health and strength… Frontline village of Mayak, Dnipropetrovsk region - the evacuation of the last residents of this village.

In Alaska, where the war in Ukraine seems like a distant thing, people have taken to the streets. And it's incredibly important that this is happening exactly today, on the very day putin is there! In my opinion, this is a real gut punch to his dictatorship! This is such a powerful signal of support for us Ukrainians and a clear message to everyone who thinks the world will forget about the horrors russia is committing. Nobody has forgotten! These are the very days when Ukrainians once again show the russians that Ukraine is not russia, that they have no place here, that our flag belongs to Ukraine and it still flutters in the wind.
