...war through the eyes of a Ukrainian 🍂 peaceful sky above. Someday this will become a reality again.

For five years russians have been killing Ukrainians, and the world is still more interested in what Trump will say tomorrow. Look at what the russians did yesterday in the city of Pavlohrad! These are the first minutes after russia's strike on the city. Such shelling happened years ago, and it is happening now. Nothing has changed for us in Ukraine. And what else hasn't changed? These demands placed on Ukrainians: «Ukraine must compromise.» «Ukraine must stop fighting.» «Ukraine must not strike back.» «Ukraine must cede territory.» A world of crooked mirrors!

The Ukrainian town of Maryinka was located in the Donetsk region. Before the arrival of russian troops, it was a cozy, green, and peaceful town with a population of about 10,000 people. General education and music schools, kindergartens, community centers, and local businesses operated here. Having been a frontline zone since 2014 as a result of the war in Donbas, the town lived under the constant threat of shelling for a long time, yet it preserved life and infrastructure. Maryinka suffered absolute, total destruction, turning into a "ghost town" that has been virtually wiped off the face of the earth. The destruction of the town was the result of nearly two years of continuous, brutal artillery shelling, airstrikes, and positional assaults during the full-scale invasion. The battles for Maryinka were among the longest and most exhausting of the war. Not a single intact building remains in the town: the entire housing stock-private homesteads and apartment buildings, as well as critical infrastructure, roads, schools, and administrative facilities have been completely destroyed. The civilian population was fully evacuated by the end of 2022. In late December 2023, Ukrainian troops withdrew from the ruins of the town after it was completely obliterated by russian assaults. Currently, Maryinka is under russian occupation, presenting a landscape of solid ruins. This is what it means to neighbor russia...

The Ukrainian city of Bakhmut - before the russians weren't there, and after they came. Now the city's name is rarely mentioned; it has faded from the news cycle. Today, other cities in my country are fighting for their survival, just like the locals who live in them. Bakhmut is just a few memories of how Ukrainians lived in their hometown before the russian war: everything was blooming, life was in the air, and children's laughter echoed here and there. This war has scattered all these people - across Ukraine, across the entire world...

No, this is not a nuclear explosion. The rest of the world can still sleep and live in peace. This is just another night in Ukraine, the view from the window of an ordinary Kyiv resident. You watch this through your phone screens, while we watch it from the windows of our own homes. This is just a fragment of the nightly madness that russia allows itself to unleash on the territory of my country. A shard torn out of the lives of Ukrainians. Yes, people died again tonight. Yes, there are wounded. Yes, there was another swarm of attack drones and missiles. It continues, and it feels as though no one can do anything about it.

This is the Ukrainian city of Kramatorsk. What you see in the video are the aftermath of today's russian FPV drone strike on a civilian car. As a result, the driver was killed and two passengers were injured. According to the driver's surviving wife, they were simply driving to the store for groceries. Today, the woman lost her husband, and all of this happened right before her eyes in broad daylight. russians are taking away from Ukrainians the most precious thing this earthly life can give. russians kill, and the world continues to watch. And my people live with this realization every single day.

Morning has come to Ukraine, and many Ukrainians, especially in Kyiv, spent another night sleeping underground. Yes... such videos no longer shock anyone - neither here in Ukraine, nor beyond the borders of my country. A person gets used to many things; the world has simply grown used to seeing this through the screen of a mobile phone. Bad things just happen in our lives, and then they become a part of them. It is very frightening to realize that such things in Ukraine have become a part of our reality, and that you can no longer surprise anyone in this world with this. We just seem to be drifting along, sighing as events unfold... sighing from our inability to find a way out of this situation, a way out of this war.

2021: Druzhkivka, there are no russians. 2026: Druzhkivka, the russians are very close. Most of the time, memories bring tears, but tears of joy or tears of sorrow are completely different feelings. Yesterday, September 6th, was City Day in Druzhkivka. Now this frontline city in the Donetsk region has found itself at the epicenter of hostilities. The video you are seeing is the soul of a time that was and is in many places across my country. The residents of Druzhkivka have seen a lot of video footage over the years of the war and know how badly their home is already destroyed. But yesterday everything resurfaced in memory, and those who had the opportunity simply wanted to see "memories," and today's technology makes that possible. The year 2021 - this exact video is what you can also see, what that day was like, a holiday for the local residents, their city day. None of us can say for sure what awaits each of us, but most likely, it's better not to know... You try to do everything possible in your life, hoping for positive outcomes and carrying hope within yourself. But... external circumstances, the powerful people of this world can upend the destinies of millions. This is what is happening in my country.

This is my hometown in the video, and today it suffered too. This is Kremenchuk - a city in Ukraine whose name doesn't pop up in news feeds very often, but tonight it got hit as well. One of the missiles hit a courtyard between high-rises: windows, cars parked in the yards, and people were affected... but everyone is alive. Just imagine if this missile had hit one of the 9-story apartment buildings - it would have been a complete nightmare. I don't know yet how many people were hurt specifically in the private residential sector that you see in the video... I hope, I hope everyone is alive there.

Due to a missile attack, parts of Kyiv and the surrounding region are plunged into darkness. Ukrainians say: 'We won’t see light in our homes today, but the light in our hearts will never go out! Children warm themselves by bonfires because there is no heating at home. We are huddling together with neighbors, facing another difficult winter together!' The whole scene looks like something out of an apocalyptic movie where the world has descended into darkness... just like in those films. But this isn't a movie, and these people aren't actors-they are ordinary residents of my country's capital. No matter how much I admire the people of Kyiv, this video creates an atmosphere of despair. Winter has only just begun, yet we are already facing such circumstances because of the russians-who claim to want 'peace' but they do everything possible to make sure that in response we send them to hell!

I couldn't help but share this video with you, with the world. Natasha, the author of the video, described it like this: «I published this video only because the world must see the truth. How much more pain must Ukraine endure? How many more children must remain without fathers? And wives without their beloved husbands? How many more parents must fail to wait for their sons? Stop this war...!! Thank you everyone for your words of support, your comments, and your care. My husband is a Hero, like hundreds of thousands of our Heroes!!! I have always been proud of him and always will be. And I will do everything so that our little daughter also knows what a Hero her dad was, and is always proud of him. 🇺🇦 She already knows this 💔» Video TikTok: natasha_plusa_

…Another evacuation of elderly residents from the town of Orikhiv in the Zaporizhzhia region. In these footage clips, 79-year-old Ella Khvostenko picks up a note dropped to her by soldiers of the 65th Separate Mechanized Brigade. It contained a note from their son with instructions on how and when to leave the town. Ella convinced her 86-year-old husband, Viktor, that they had to leave their native home. The couple took two carts with their belongings and set off on foot under the drones. Ella says they prayed and hit the road. There was no longer any point in staying-they were the only ones left, with no one else remaining. They made the entire journey, and at the designated spot, they were met by Ukrainian military personnel. However, Ella and Viktor had to stay with the soldiers for another 6 days, as heavy shelling by russia made it impossible to evacuate them earlier. Ella also shared in the report how they had to put out fires in neighboring houses on their own. Whenever they heard the sound of a drone in the sky, they would run into the house and simply hide, as they didn't know whose drone it was-russian or Ukrainian. Ella admitted that they didn't want to leave and deeply loved their hometown, but the russians severely destroyed it, and their son insisted they leave their home while the opportunity still exists. Today, Ella and Viktor have been taken in by their son in a city in western Ukraine.

... evacuation from the city of Kramatorsk. Ukrainians are leaving the city, some already have, some are still thinking about it, and others are finding a suitable city according to their finances and capabilities. Winter is approaching, and for us in Ukraine, this is the most difficult period. Staying in such places in the Donetsk region is very dangerous, especially if you have children; an adult is able to adapt somehow to this kind of life, but children should not have to see the worst sides of human life... yet they are seeing it. russians are already causing damage and destroying warehouses with food, medicine, and other supplies, and they have also started targeting internet providers, which I read about this morning. In winter, heat and electricity are very important; we all remember what happened in previous years. You simply cannot prepare for everything that might happen...

Evacuation in Ukraine has been and remains an acute problem: every day, families leave their homes and cities due to intensifying shelling. We all occasionally-and with age, more and more often-look back on our childhood. For some, it was happier; for others, it was not as bright. Yet, everyone can recall something in a moment of sadness, while reflecting in solitude, or finding peace in nature. Many children in Ukraine will remember their childhood as a series of upheavals that caught up with them far too soon; for their fragile psyche, it is an unbearable burden. They are left with too many questions: "Why us? Why now? And why did the russians come here and hate us so much?" There will be too many of these "Mom, why," and the answers will only come with age. How do you explain to a child what "war" is? Something that they previously saw only in movies as a form of entertainment, viewed from the safety and comfort of home, has suddenly appeared right outside their window. Explosions sound ever clearer, closer to home, and there is no point in replacing the windows anymore-they are destroyed too often. A child simply packs their small suitcase, packing away their childhood, and along with it, the memories of the years they have lived. The situation is similar for elderly Ukrainians, although they certainly have more answers than children do. Yet, our elderly parents, in their advanced age, become like children themselves; they require our attention, care, and words of love. In most cases, they are very stubborn, making it incredibly difficult to persuade them to leave dangerous cities and villages where war is already at the doorstep. It is important to remember that not everyone has family to turn to. For some, life has distanced them from their loved ones; for others, it is resentment or anger that keeps them apart. Evacuation is about packing a suitcase and setting off on a "journey." But this is no cruise-and this is a journey that brings no happiness.

…This is a morning for Ukrainians, a morning for Ukraine, and this is what it is like in Kyiv right now. This is not the Donetsk region, where such things have already become a regular occurrence. I remember how what you are seeing once shook the world, but now, today, it simply causes people to have desperate thoughts, a heavy sigh, and silence. Silence, simply because everything has been said long ago, much has been said, and sometimes even very loudly. But... today is morning again for my people. Also, explosions were heard tonight in Sumy, Kryvyi Rih, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro region. The full-scale war with russia has been going on for 1590 days already… too long; who could have thought or imagined that everything would turn out this way, and there are still so many unknown events ahead.

… these are Ukrainians, the residents of this building, which has already been put out, standing beside it this early morning with their children, relatives, and neighbors. Here in Ukraine, a single night can turn your life upside down. For some, windows were simply blown out by the shockwave, but there are also those whose apartments and all their belongings burned down. In the middle of the night, amid the chaos, it is hard to find necessary things and documents-you just grab what matters most: yourselves and your loved ones, children, pets, and try to get out of the burning building. Tonight, everyone in this building survived.

Under one of my posts some Russian woman wrote to me: ...what war, stop lying! You Ukrainians live, go to cafes, go to work, walk in your parks. You don't have any war, stop this nonsense, we are fed up! ... I am getting harder and more bitter to realize that there are people, and there are many of them, who see everything, know everything, but continue not to see the horror and pain in all this! Thank you all who are with us 🇺🇦 On the video you can watch the shelling in one of the Ukrainian cities, which happened on July 8...✊ Fu*k ruZZa

In Alaska, where the war in Ukraine seems like a distant thing, people have taken to the streets. And it's incredibly important that this is happening exactly today, on the very day putin is there! In my opinion, this is a real gut punch to his dictatorship! This is such a powerful signal of support for us Ukrainians and a clear message to everyone who thinks the world will forget about the horrors russia is committing. Nobody has forgotten! And people all over the world are showing it!

It’s just some kind of insane hatred toward the Ukrainian people. What did my people, what did Ukrainians ordinary Ukrainians, people, children, do so wrong to this world to have to live a part of their lives like this?! What did the person who left this life do wrong… no, they didn't leave it, they were killed by the russians, for what the fuck? What did an elderly woman do wrong, a Ukrainian woman who was buried alive in her own room because of russian shelling? I just look at all of this and my brain cannot find an explanation for this worldwide madhouse called human LIFE. Some kill with impunity, others become victims and resist with all their strength and ability, and others just watch… damn, is this a theater… or a fucking play? I simply refuse to accept everything I've seen over many years as human life. This is some kind of psychopath's dream.

…these are the 24/7 realities of Ukrainians' lives in the city of Kherson! A volunteer and humanitarian worker from Australia visited Ukraine this summer-specifically the world-renowned city of Kherson, and experienced firsthand what a "russian human safari" using FPV drones looks like. The video is quite long, and I rarely publish posts like this, but I wanted people in other countries to see it. What's more, the video is entirely in English, so there's no need to read subtitles, you can fully and completely immerse yourself in the atmosphere of life in Kherson. The video footage is taken from TikTok mangoinquirer. And I've edited a bit for easy viewing
