The more I think about it, the more I love this moment between Lucifer and Charlie. He sees her getting overwhelmed by all the reporters, and helps her the only way he knows how: by disappearing into his room. His first instinct was to bring her to *his* room specifically

I feel like people forget that Charlie had to basically beg Lucifer to even give the hotel a chance, and it took an entire episode + a song to convince him to get her the meeting she wanted. His not immediately jumping to interfere with the Vox situation was very in-character

Lucifer was desperate to fix things with Charlie after ep5, which is why he fell into what would be such an obvious trap to anyone else. He was visibly confused and maybe even a bit uncomfortable, but cooperated anyway because he thought it was what Charlie wanted

One aspect of Charlie's character that honestly bothers the hell out of me is her unwillingness to acknowledge Heaven's flaws or hold it accountable for its mistakes. She especially seems to like to push all of the blame onto Lucifer for things Heaven also fucked up

I just realized the book Charlie reads from in ep1 couldn't have been written when she was a little kid because it mentions the exterminations, which only started 7 years ago, nor could Lilith have written it if she disappeared around the same time the exterminations began 😭

Actually listen to what he tells Charlie. "I just don't want you to put yourself on the line for people like that" and "It doesn't matter how well-intentioned you are; they're always going to disappoint you" hint at him being personally hurt by sinners in the past

I don't get why people automatically assume Lucifer 'deserved' the way Heaven treated him when it's implied that they'll punish you for so much as asking questions they don't like. Lucifer said they "aren't very open-minded as you'd hope", and so far that seems to be true
