Bono was injured. U2 needed a frontman for one night in Times Square. Bruce Springsteen stepped in — and tore into “Where the Streets Have No Name” as if he’d been in the band for years. New York, 2014. One hell of a substitute. 🔥 #BruceSpringsteen #U2 #LiveMusic #RockMusic

When Bruce Springsteen opens with Van Halen’s Jump, and Tom Morello steps in for Eddie’s solo… there’s only one option: turn it all the way up. 🎸🔥 Dallas, 2014 — the E Street Band at full throttle. #BruceSpringsteen #TomMorello #VanHalen #LiveMusic #ClassicRock

On August 10, 1972, I was only a few months old. That same night, Bruce Springsteen was opening for Dave Van Ronk at Max’s Kansas City in New York — 22 years old, alone with his guitar, long before Born to Run, stadiums and the legend. Rare footage from those early Max’s Kansas City shows. #BruceSpringsteen #MaxsKansasCity #SpringsteenHistory #1972 #RareFootage #GrowinUp Born to Run. Made to Repost. 🔁

Bruce has just shared the news every Springsteen fan was hoping to hear. “Patti is now thankfully in remission.” During a heartfelt message for the Pan-Mass Challenge, Bruce thanks the doctors, nurses and researchers who never stop fighting cancer… before closing with a beautiful acoustic performance of Born to Run. ❤️🎸 #BruceSpringsteen #PattiScialfa #BornToRun #CancerResearch #PanMassChallenge #EStreetBand

Just two days after Prince’s death, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band opened their Brooklyn show with “Purple Rain.” The arena turned purple, and Nils Lofgren delivered a magnificent guitar solo worthy of the moment. A beautiful farewell from one legend to another. 💜 #BruceSpringsteen #Prince #PurpleRain #NilsLofgren #EStreetBand

THE RIVER — first-ever live performance. September 21, 1979 — Madison Square Garden, NYC. The audience didn’t know this song. The album wouldn’t arrive for another year. That night at No Nukes, Bruce Springsteen introduced The River to the world for the very first time. A song that would become one of his defining works — born onstage that night. #BruceSpringsteen #TheRiver #NoNukes

Racing in the Street isn’t really a song about cars. It’s about fading dreams, a love falling apart, and those moments when you’re still searching for a reason to keep moving forward. In Sydney on February 19, 2014, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band delivered a deeply moving version. Nearly nine suspended minutes, carried by an intensely emotional finale.
