Packed AMC parking lot. Empty charger. At $0.51/kWh plus a $50 authorization hold, it’s easy to see why. And honestly, a movie theater may be one of the worst places for a 50kW DC fast charger. Most people are parked for 2–3 hours watching a movie. A row of 48A Level 2 chargers could serve more EVs, cost less to install, and let drivers leave with a full battery by the end of the film. Would you use this charger, or would you rather see more Level 2 charging at movie theaters?

With a heavy heart, I’ve asked Ford Motor Company to buy back my 2022 Lightning. It’s past CA’s 18-month/18K-mile guidelines, so approval isn’t certain, but after it had to be towed last week & with it’s history I felt it was time to start the process. I won’t know much for a couple weeks. 💔
