I have a really dark sense of humor. I will probably offend you! I also really love the Weather Patterns in the PNW! Sorry not sorry! 🌊🏔

Live look at Mt. Seymour in Vancouver, BC. Major Winter Storm slamming this area. If you do not have AWD and Snow Tires right now, forget about it. You are not making it up here. Drive to Whistler instead. This is ugly. I am headed down now because I want to be able to actually get down the mountain today. #bcstorm #shareyourweather

From December 27th, 2021. Pretty much all of us, myself included didn't even know Frazil Ice was a thing. But temperatures were well below -10°C in Squamish, BC. This led to unusual behavior at Shannon Falls. At the bottom, the river was still actively flowing, but it was super cooled to a below freezing temperature now. So wheb it tries to flow, it keeps building an ice layer underneath it. Get it going long enough, and enough force can have that below freezing liquid water flow on top of the ice. Well once that force runs out, the water path gets cutoff, and the flow suddenly stops. And I mean suddenly stops. You are watching a portion of a river stop flowing, and immediately freeze in seconds and disappear. To this day, this is still the most popular video I ever recorded with many thinking this was fake, or the video was reversed. No! This video is 100% authentic, you are just watching something super badass that you didn't know was real. Like I said, myself is included in that! #bcstorm

Someone talking very loudly on their phone to a conversation none of us want to listen to. Some shit about breaking up. Or a person bringing a dog on the train on a leash and not a carrier. Little things that piss us transit users off in Vancouver. Don't do them! TransLink BC

Live look here in Coquitlam, BC where it is 11°C (52°F). We haven't seen Winter yet here on the west coast of Canada, and the beat marches on. I'm not even wearing my light winter jacket today because it is too warm... #ShareYourWeather Ty Chris Murphy TWN The Weather Network

While I am 90% sure, this is a controlled Upstream Dam release flow on the Coquitlam River. The water levels will not come down by much here if at all before tonight. Water levels are going to get very close, if not worse than the October 18-20, 2024 Atmospheric River Storm. For those of us in the Tri-Cities, you know how bad that storm was in our area as a couple people tragically died in that storm during a landslide. #bcstorm

On this day 4 years ago. A major Snowstorm hammered Vancouver, BC with anywhere from 15-25cm of Snow. This was during a stretch where Vancouver never rose above freezing for 7.5 days straight. The unusual part in this storm was not the amount of Snow. But the quality of the snow. Normally we see Snowflakes that are very wet and sloppy around here. We aren't privvied to real Canadian quality Snowfalls every year around here. Well on December 30th, 2021 we sure were. This was super soft, super powdery Snow that the rest of Canada sees every winter. Not only were we able to go skating on outdoor ponds and lakes at Sea Level in this city. But now we were given a rare treat of fluffy soft powdery Snow too. Which in turn also meant a rare treat on Vancouver's local Mountains. Perfect Champagne Powder Snow was falling on them which was a rare treat for skiers who normally have to go to Whistler for that type of Snow. #bcstorm

We are getting close to 300mm of rain here in Coquitlam since Sunday night. Rainfall rates are around 7mm per hour right now and will continue for a long while longer. A very powerful Atmospheric River storm. These aren't the beneficial type. These ones are always 100% hazardous to our area. That is way too much rain in an area of Metro Vancouver that knows a thing about a lot of rain... #bcstorm #shareyourweather
