“My female students at the University of Virginia are worried about the state of the opposite sex. The women who take my “sociology of family” class tell of brothers living in their parents’ basements, boyfriends hooked on pornography and male peers who don’t pull their weight in group projects. Most troublingly, many of these women say they have never been asked on a date. Their voices are part of a rising chorus expressing concern about the falling fortunes of our boys and men.”

“My students at UVA are aiming to marry around 30. They want to focus on education, work & having fun in their 20s. But what they don’t appreciate is that the *dating landscape is much more difficult today* than it was for their parents and grandparents…”

“The White House has just issued an executive order that’s going to make it harder for states to regulate AI. This is a mistake. We’ve already seen what Big Tech has done to our kids with social media. Now, the danger is Big Tech will also hurt our kids with AI products that degrade their capacity to socialize, erode their capacity to flourish educationally, and hurt them emotionally.”

"The best [predictor] of happiness for ordinary Americans is not money, it's not career success, it's not sexual frequency, it's not even churchgoing, it's not self-rated health, it's. . . a good marriage." ~ Me to Alex Clark

On TRIGGERnometry, Scott Galloway says fatherless girls are "actually fine"🤨: "What's interesting is that girls in single-parent households have similar outcomes to girls in dual-parent households--same rates of college attendance, self-harm, income. They're actually fine."

"The boy crisis." Everyone's talking about it but fewer are addressing the family foundations of this crisis. What we see in this new report is that boys who are being raised outside an intact family are @ 2 times as likely to be struggling in school.

Last week brought more bad news for men, this time regarding men’s falling fortunes at work—as the # of men working has fallen below women. This is bad news because it’s reflective of men’s growing inability to be successful breadwinners. And men who are not working are more likely to fail at Life and Love—literally, they’re more likely to die by suicide & fail when it comes to dating & marriage. See below:

"Thomas Jefferson, whose home sits just behind me, is justly famous for authoring the 'Declaration of Independence' where he talked about 'the pursuit of Happiness.' Yet, we are seeing that more & more Americans are failing in that pursuit. This is the subject of an important new article by Annie Lowrey in The Atlantic where she talks about what one Chicago economist calls a 'happiness crash.' Yet she overlooks one of the most important factors driving this decline in happiness--the fact that fewer Americans are putting a ring on it."👇🏽

The fight to protect kids from Big Tech has been bipartisan. But some DC Republicans are endangering this bipartisan battle.
