Last year, these Bam face ups were the ones seeing some extra help Now it’s all 1-on-1 That’s literally Bam’s game Interested in that part of the equation big time

This play is hilarious because they run a Davion-Bam pick and roll, get the switch they want, and Mitchell decides he’ll just take Giannis 1-on-1 Not only that, but help is sent??? Great read and pass to Pelle on the kick to ice the game

Talked to Giannis Antetokounmpo today about Toronto not leaving Klay Thompson on Saturday night: “It’s weird. Usually I have guys on me and they will try to build a wall.” “But they weren’t leaving Klay…He wasn’t open.” More on the 4-on-4 offense that is created:

Talked to Klay Thompson about his defender not leaving him Saturday even with Giannis demanding 2 or 3: “My thoughts are I’m so impressed with Giannis’s play-making. I knew he was a great passer but wow.” “I’m gonna be on the recipient end of so many of those.” More:

Honestly I don’t even want to overanalyze this with a thread This is as simple as it gets to an ideal fit for both the Heat and Klay - Historic catch and shoot player - Needed hub - Somebody who can force a defender to go over a screen Idc about anything else but the jumper

I talked to Spo about the roster around Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bam Adebayo He turned that into how he will use Bam and Giannis Part that excites me: - Mentions inverted offense cause both can handle - Use of either/or at the elbows - Screeners - Spacing principles

The Heat made this adjustment down 7 with 4 minutes left to make Bam Adebayo the primary ball handler Why? To set up the high low actions with Jimmy Butler They completely took Lopez and Giannis out of their defensive roles Erik Spoelstra masterclass
