🚨🚨 4, Despite Reuter report alleging the existence of a training camp in Ethiopia claims that lack substantial supporting evidence there is documented material indicating the presence of a TPLF training camp in Sudan, in the Gedaref area near the Ethiopian border. This is supported by videos and satellite imagery that correspond to the identified location in Sudan. The available imagery appears consistent with a structured training facility. Reports indicate that the TPLF’s “Army 70,” which fought against the Ethiopian federal government, established a training camp in the Gedaref region around 2021, well before the outbreak of the Sudanese civil war. The camp was reportedly operating with logistical support from elements of the SAF. Notably, video footage shared by the fighters themselves shows what they describe as a graduation ceremony from this training camp. The existence of such self-published material, alongside corroborating satellite imagery, raises questions as to why Reuter did not include or address this information in its reporting. The omission of documented activity in Sudan, while asserting unverified claims regarding Ethiopia, presents a significant gap in the overall narrative.
