NBC booth addresses Tiger DUI arrest (though that was not specifically mentioned) at top of their broadcast. Kevin Kisner: “Very disturbing. He was really working hard on his game, trying to practice and get back in shape. He signed up for the U.S. Senior Open yesterday. He was trying to do anything he could to come back and try and help our TGL team, get ready, hopefully try and play the Masters. Just a really unfortunate incident, I guess, Brad, the only positive is that is nobody was injured in the incident and we can all move forward and hopefully help him get better.”

"You try to explain to [casual sports fans] ‘Well, this person is in because it’s a sponsors exemption because he had dinner with the CEO three weeks ago.’ A sports fan says, ‘That’s not a sport. I don’t know what that is.'" Rolapp gets real and candid in a great clip from his appearance on Golf Channel today. He's quite comfortable talking like a normal human about strengths, weaknesses, and goals. Not sure I've heard this kind of frank self-evaluation from the Tour (on the record in public) very often.

This man might have the highest approval rating in golf right now. Who doesn’t like Vik? What a laugh.

“No no, the other one.” NBC used the wrong Tiger Woods accident footage (from 2021 in LA, not yesterday) for their sports desk update before the Houston Open.

The Presidents Cup has stopped making sense. There was an appeal when a core of the very top players in the world populated the International team. But that hasn't been the case over the past decade. Some numbers from SGS today:

In today's The Shotgun Start pod, I went on a mini rant/tangent (rangent?) about the charmed life of being a data boy.
