🚨WATCH: Midlothian ISD approves TRANSGENDER-FRIENDLY DRESS CODE... allowing MALE STUDENTS TO WEAR DRESSES!! Outrageous! When MISD's conservative Trustee, Ed Harrison, makes a motion to make the dress code correspond to biological sex... not even one other member will second it... Then... the liberal majority mocks him for fighting for conservative values, and votes to adopt the transgender dress code! I'm proud to represent Midlothian in the Texas Legislature, and I can promise you, my constituents do NOT support their tax dollars furthering the transgender agenda! I'm copying a post from Trustee Ed Harrison's social media post below: _________ You deserve to be informed about what your Midlothian School Board is up to. I am disappointed to inform you that at our last meeting, the Midlothian Board voted to continue its transgender-friendly, “non-binary,” “gender-neutral” student and employee dress code. This policy was adopted in 2021 by some who are still on the Board today and it makes it possible for biological boys to wear dresses to school! Absurdly, the present MISD board majority claims that since we do not allow “disruptive” or “distractive” dress or “unacceptable appearance,” that transgender attire isn’t being tolerated or promoted, when it absolutely is. There is no codified specific language prohibiting such dress or behavior in policy, and those nebulous terms will not hold up in court. After all, what is “disruptive” or “unacceptable” to a liberal mindset? Midlothian should be a leader in protecting our children and our conservative community values. But instead, The MISD Board majority have their heads in the sand and refuse to deal with what neighboring ISDs are facing on this exact issue. MISD says that what happened in the Red Oak ISD (when a biological male teacher transitioning to a woman, and dressing as a woman, boasted in a video that he had “gender euphoria” because his 15-16 yo students called him “ma’am, they call me Miss”) cannot happen here. Their most feeble argument is that “community standards” won’t allow it. However, back in 2021 it was said that EVOLVING “community standards” caused them to discard a perfectly good dress code for this non-binary, pro-trans dress code! Attorney Daniel Altman, during public testimony, said of the Midlothian dress code: “You’d be hard pressed to read that dress code and know who are boys and who are girls. It’s like it was drafted by a team of lawyers to keep the existence of two sexes a state secret.” He’s right! To defend their transgender-friendly dress code, MISD leadership brags that dress code violations have declined since it was first adopted in 2021. That’s like a City removing all speed limits then bragging that speeding violations declined! That is simply ludicrous logic. If they really don’t want such behavior from employees or students, as they claim, then just codify it in policy like it was before 2021 and quit talking out of both sides of your mouth. MISD parents, students, teachers, and taxpayers deserve better than liberal policies and spin. You deserve the truth! The Trustees who VOTED “FOR” THE TRANSGENDER-FRIENDLY DRESS CODE were: JOHN KNIGHT, GARY VINEYARD, & RYAN TIMM. Trustee BRANDI VESS abstained. Texans deserve the TRUTH, not deception, about the Ellis County Judge’s proposed PROPERTY TAX INCREASE! Republicans are supposed to shrink government and CUT TAXES, but this proposed budget does the opposite. Voters deserve honesty and transparency about proposed budgets and tax hikes, but have instead been subjected to ever-changing math from Ellis County officials, who started making changes to their numbers after I exposed how big of a tax hike they proposed. Thank you to the Ellis County GOP for allowing me to expose the TRUTH about this liberal budget, and I’m grateful for the hundred or so patriots who came last night to learn more. For those unable to make it, I’m posting the video. I know it’s long, and I go into great detail… hope it helps! Key FACTS: 🔴 Ellis County is trying to RAISE PROPERTY TAXES 🔴 This proposal is a staggering 12.05% INCREASE from last year’s effective tax rate (rising from an effective rate of 0.244516 last year to 0.273992 this year), and these numbers came directly from Ellis County’s own website ➡️ This increase is what matters… don’t be distracted by discussion of revenue. The tax rate is what will determine how high your tax bill is, and the tax rate is going up over 12% 🔴 This proposed tax hike is so big that if it were only 0.006 higher, then it would be ILLEGAL unless voters approved it in an election ➡️ Ask yourself: what are the odds that the proposed tax rate just happened to be 0.006 lower than a rate that would force a voter approval election and allow the voters decide?? How convenient! 🔴 This budget creates more unelected bureaucracy and will diminish the power of the duly elected County Judge, who will take office next year. ➡️ These new bureaucrats will wield power over THE PEOPLE while taking power away from the elected County Judge and will cost taxpayers an extra ONE MILLION DOLLARS! 🔴 Raising taxes is bad enough, but what makes this such an abomination is that Ellis County is proposing to raise property taxes and steal more money from your back pockets… to PUT MORE OF YOUR MONEY IN THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AND COUNTY JUDGE’S OWN BACK POCKETS!! ➡️ That’s right. They plan on hiking your property taxes to GIVE THEMSELVES A RAISE!! No real Republican can support a budget this liberal. If you want to make your voice heard, contact your County Commissioners and tell them to REJECT THIS TAX HIKING BUDGET! Remind them that not one single County Commissioner campaigned promising to raise property taxes, but if they vote for this, that’s exactly what they’re doing… and they’d be betraying their voters and the conservative values they claim to have. You can also speak against it at their hearing THIS Tuesday (the 18th) at 2:00pm.

UPDATE (Bad): Ellis County Commissioners voted 4-1 to propose a PROPERTY TAX INCREASE!! And this follows a BOMBSHELL admission tonight from (unelected) Ellis County Judge John Wray that the county "lost" approximately 20 million tax dollars!! The Commissioners who voted FOR the proposed property tax hike were: Judge John Wray, Louis Ponder, Randy Stinson, and Kyle Butler. The only Commissioner to vote for the taxpayers and AGAINST the proposed tax hike was Matt Zajic. There will be a vote on final adoption soon, and I'll keep you posted. If you live in Ellis County, tell your Commissioners "NO TAX HIKE!"
